I love butterflies and junk journals, I made this mini scrappy journal in a nature theme to show that there’s so many ways we can use the Print then Cut feature using images from the LOKLiK ideaStudio Library.
/ choose images from PrintThenCut
/ place on the canvas
/ add an offset on each butterfly with zero width
/ hide the offsets
/ send the butterflies to the printer
/ I used Epson double sided matte paper 178gsm
/ place the print sheet on the mat
/ hide the butterfies
/ MAKE…cut the offset outline of the butterfly
/ i used the fine blade and cut all the way through
/ make some thread antennars
/ glue the antennars to the back of the butterflies
/ glue the butterflies onto some loosely woven fabric
/ cut around the edges leaving a border
/ scrape the edges to frey
/ fold the wings up and glue only the body to the cover and pages
You now have an interactive butterfly that is nice and scrappy to complimet your journal cover and pages.
