DIY Project Sharing | Summer Fresh Fruit Scrap Paper

After sharing some complex projects, I felt like doing something more relaxed, and that also helps me test how the current Sharing feature behaves. I really want to contribute something that other users can open and use, and as far as I’ve seen (let’s see if this project works!), other community members can only access shared designs if they don’t include any uploaded external images or vectors. It seems that when Idea Studio detects non-library assets, the “Go Design” button isn’t enabled for others.

So, I took my time exploring the built-in resources to create a printable pattern, 100% made with elements from the Idea Studio library. I usually go for harmonious tones or color palettes, but since summer is just around the corner (and temperatures here are rising!), I decided on a vibrant, fresh theme: a delicious fruit medley. I gathered a bunch of cheerful fruit elements from the library and used the Array tool to build a seamless repeating pattern across the whole canvas.

The result is colorful, sweet, fun, and perfect for summer crafts. The fruit pattern is layered separately from the background, so you can customize the color combination or even resize the pattern easily (enlarging is easier than shrinking, though).

I printed it on lightweight drawing paper and it worked beautifully. I also tested a vellum sheet, and while I haven’t tried photo paper yet, I’m sure the colors would pop amazingly on a more satin or glossy finish.

I only used to make a cover to embellish an old little notebook, but can be applied to many projects.

Please let me know if this project is usable on your end, it would really help confirm how the sharing behaves.

Oh, and one more tip: if you want the used assets to show up in the project preview, keep an untouched copy of each resource used. If you ungroup or change them, they might not be listed anymore.

Let’s keep testing and crafting together, and stay cool with this fruity summer paper!

Love these patterns.
I found your project in idea studio but I can’t make it. Maybe it might take time for it to be made by others, I’m not sure. I know if you used shapes these are not sharable at the moment. They will be in future

Oh thank you, and thank you for letting me know. The thing is there’s a couple of members projects that can actually be opened. One is the @Marino 's decall with the baby and father’s feet and I can’t remember the other one. Both with a minimal intervention from the original library asset.

This one has nothing from outside and just duplication of the assets and squared shapes created. Even the label ribbon is made out of the library assets, so I thought this one could make it. But didn’t. So yes, there must be something missing here in the sharing feature. I mean, I guess it is not supposed to be for sharing/showing, but also sharing/giving. Or that’s how myself at least understood it.

Tomorrow I’m going to share a tutorial for the Ipaint and then share the file as it is taken from Ideastudio and see if it’s gonna work also or not

I noticed when I added the item from my favourite list which is taken from the library it doesn’t show as a source to the project.
But when I search for it again and add it that’s when it’s showing :smiling_face_with_tear::smiling_face_with_tear::smiling_face_with_tear:

Yes I realized that too, I commented it in one of my recent shares. That should be fixed, as it is more comfortable fav assets and then search for inspiration there.

The shared projects of other members we fav, they should be there too IMO.

So they have said, if you create shapes using the pattern or shapes asset in the canvas these aren’t allowing sharing at the moment. They are working on a fix. So only sharing an asset from the library can be done right now. That’s why @Marino project worked. As nothing was changed from that library asset.

I see… waiting for the fix then. Because sharing something as it is in the library… for that, we have the library already  :joy:

My thoughts exactly. Hopefully an update will come soon that fixes all the problems with sharing projects. What the trail period was for to find all the bugs
