MY project is a throw pillow for the lounge or bed!
Being able to make home decor using my LOKLiK iCraft and Heat Press 2.0 is so rewarding, it’s such a nice change from t-shirts and caps.
For this project, I created a quote pillow using HTV and the LLiS font “DancingScript-Regular”
It just goes to show, you don’t need a huge array of colours in your stash to make something beautiful!
Here’s how I made it:
1.Typed out the quote:
“Love is not finding someone to live with, it’s finding someone you can’t live without.”
2.Changed the font to one with a nice handwritten style
3.At this stage, the text has not been “united” yet, meaning each word or letter is still treated as an individual layer or object. You can tell because the overlapping, so if this were sent to cut as is, the machine would cut out each overlapping part separately.
4.I selected all the text and used the “Subtract crossover” function so it would cut as one smooth, connected design
5.Sent it to Standard Cut
6.Mirrored the text (important for HTV!)
7.Cut the HTV using the fine blade
8.Weeded the excess vinyl
9.Centered and positioned the design on a plain pillowcase
10.Heat pressed using my LOKLiK Auto Press (you can also use a mini handheld press)
11.Inserted the pillow insert, and done!
Now it lives happily on the lounge
Absolutely amazing home decor creation! Life is all about finding those little joys, and this pillow captures that perfectly.
