DIY Spring Turtle Basket | Upcycle Jeans | Great for gifts & house decor

One of the special projects I made for my sister-in law was this turtle basket. She wanted me to make this out of her late Dad’s old jeans, one way of upcycling jeans and bring it back to a new life.

MATERIALS USED:
:purple_heart: HTVRONT Auto Heat Press 2
:purple_heart: Sewing Machine
:purple_heart: Pair of old jeans
:purple_heart: Fusible fleece
:purple_heart: 6” cord, 2 black buttons, 0.5” circle white felt
:purple_heart: Matching threads & needle
:purple_heart: Schmetz Sewing Machine Jeans Needle Size 16
:purple_heart: Point Fabric turner, hem gauge, tape measure
:purple_heart: Frixion pen/fabric marker or pencil
:purple_heart: Pins and stuffings

HEAT PRESS SETTINGS: 305 F, 10 seconds with 150 # of pressure

Finished size: 4.5 x 8 x 6 Inch (Height x Top x Bottom) without head + arms
Time expenditure: approx. 4-6 hours (depending on sewing experience + face variant)
Sewing difficulty: Medium

WOW!! :open_mouth: This is totally absolutely adorable! Worth of the time you spent to this project! I love it very much to the point that you turned the old jeans of your Sister-in-law’s Dad’s to a new product! It was creatively done and very smart! I’m sure she will love it! I wanted to try this!
