One of the special projects I made for my sister-in law was this turtle basket. She wanted me to make this out of her late Dadβs old jeans, one way of upcycling jeans and bring it back to a new life.
MATERIALS USED:
HTVRONT Auto Heat Press 2
Sewing Machine
Pair of old jeans
Fusible fleece
6β cord, 2 black buttons, 0.5β circle white felt
Matching threads & needle
Schmetz Sewing Machine Jeans Needle Size 16
Point Fabric turner, hem gauge, tape measure
Frixion pen/fabric marker or pencil
Pins and stuffings
HEAT PRESS SETTINGS: 305 F, 10 seconds with 150 # of pressure
Finished size: 4.5 x 8 x 6 Inch (Height x Top x Bottom) without head + arms
Time expenditure: approx. 4-6 hours (depending on sewing experience + face variant)
Sewing difficulty: Medium
