Hey y’all. My printer is being really weird. I started a job, no ink was coming out so I pressed Pause on the machine. After that, the touch screen doesn’t respond and all the buttons on BetterPrinter are grayed out and I can’t even preform a clean or nozzle check. Sometimes I get an error that says “InkStack or Z Moto error”. I also tried using BetterPrinter to push some ink out but it’s not working. I have Christmas gifts to make and I’m getting nervous. Please assist
I am sorry I don’t have a dtf printer hope someone that does can help.
Hello @MadeByYaBoi and welcome to the community, I have a DTF printer but it’s not a HTVRONT, can you confirm what printer you have, it sounds like you’re using a DTF printer that runs with BetterPrinter RIP (not a LOKLiK/HTVRONT machine).
Can you give some more information on the brand of your DTF printer?
Just so you know, if this isn’t an HTVRONT/LOKLiK printer issue specifically, the best help will likely come from the seller or the user group for your exact DTF model.
a starting point: what were you doing before you started this print, example how long did the printer sit without printing anything at all? 1 day 2-3 days? I ask this because if no ink is coming out at all it could mean the ink has dried up in the lines and or the head? and after the pause action this has triggered the errors you now see.
I have a HTVRONT/LOKLiK printer. I was gone for about a week for an unexpected funeral. The colored ink is working but the white is not. There are no air bubbles, lines seem to be moving when I used a syringe on the damper. I tried printing something all white and the printhead moves side to side but nothing comes out.
Thanks Sue @MadeByYaBoi after a week unused, white ink settles quickly and clogs easily it sounds like your white is blocked. it might be best to reach out to HTVRONT tech support.
also I found this on HTVRONT website “why is my DTF printer not printing white”

Once you get it unblocked you need to do daily maintenance to keep all colours and white alive, good luck, it can be fixed it may take some time learning and trouble shooting.
I think @InkiteeWorkshop is right. It sounds like the white is clogged.
Was the printer left on the whole time? The printer should not be turned off, so it can complete its white ink circulation.
Before you left did the printer work fine?

But I would probably check with customer support, and they will give you instructions on how to get it fixed and working properly.
Hi and Welcome to the community @MadeByYaBoi! I’m so sorry I just saw and read this one.
That definitely sounds stressful, especially with holiday projects on the line. Let’s walk through a few things you can try.
1. Power cycle the machine
Fully turn the printer off, unplug it for about 2–3 minutes, then plug it back in and restart. This usually resets the touchscreen and clears temporary communication issues with BetterPrinter.
2. Check that the carriage isn’t stuck
The “InkStack or Z Moto error” often pops up when the printhead can’t move freely. Make sure nothing is blocking the carriage and that it can slide smoothly left to right.
3. Reconnect BetterPrinter
Close the software completely, reopen it, and reconnect to the printer. If the printer is frozen, the software will gray out all options.
4. Make sure the lid is fully closed
If the lid sensor isn’t engaged, the printer locks out cleaning/nozzle checks.
5. If the touchscreen still doesn’t respond
This can indicate a firmware freeze. A full restart usually fixes it, but if not, it may need a deeper reset from support.
If none of these steps get the touchscreen or software responding again, it may be a hardware issue. Please keep us updated on what happens after a restart.
