DTF printer do you need air filtration for fumes?

With the new DTF printer do I need an air filtration system for the fumes from the machine or the powder I put the design in? Im concerned no one is talking about this. I’ve seen where other DTF machines need an air filtration system. So does this one need it?

Hi and Welcome to the community @R_T! Great question—and I’m really glad you brought it up, because you’re absolutely right: air filtration is something we should be talking about more when it comes to DTF setups.

Even though this new HTVRONT DTF printer might not require a filtration system in the manual, it’s still smart to consider one—especially if you’re working in a small or enclosed space. The powder curing process can release fine particles and fumes that may not be ideal to breathe in long-term. Some users have reported that other HTVRONT DTF models do benefit from added ventilation or filtration, so it’s not a bad idea to treat this one with the same caution.

:white_check_mark: A few things to think about:

  • Ventilation: At minimum, make sure your workspace has good airflow.

  • Air purifier or fume extractor: Especially helpful during powder curing.

  • Masking up: A well-fitted respirator can add extra protection if you’re working close to the machine.

Thanks again for raising this—your post might be the nudge others need to rethink their setup too.
