I have the LokLik DTF printer and it won’t print. I have made sure the print head is not clogged, and I removed air from the tubes. I have a job that needs to get done ASAP.
How can I fix as this is a new machine.

Sorry to hear that you are having problems. I’m sure one of the admins can help you out. There is also a lot of troubleshooting tips in the discord channel, I’ll link below. Maybe @Jodie can help you. If you haven’t already, you should contact customer support. You can do that here Contact Us
Not sure but these videos might help you too
System Set, enter password 666888, then adjust the “Return Distance” under the Motor tab to center the printhead.Clean cfg in BetterPrinter to ensure a full seal. Typical values: Flash = 200, Pump = 600–750.If you’re still stuck, I recommend checking out LOKLiK’s full troubleshooting guide and this ink absorption video for visual steps like @BellethehowtoGuru mentioned above. Hello, I need some help with my Loklik DTF printer (XP600). The printer is not printing and it also doesn’t absorb ink. I already replaced the printhead once, but the issue continues. Is there any update or advice about this problem?
Thank you!
Hi and Welcome to the Community @decoarti.fl! Thanks for reaching out. I know how frustrating it can be when your printer isn’t cooperating, especially after replacing the printhead. Let’s go through a few things step by step:
Ink Flow & Lines
• Check if the ink lines are properly primed and free of air bubbles. Sometimes the printer won’t absorb ink if there’s trapped air.
• Make sure the dampers are seated correctly and not clogged.
Capping Station & Pump
• If the capping station isn’t sealing tightly or the pump isn’t pulling ink, the printhead won’t stay primed. Try running a cleaning cycle and see if ink is being pulled into the waste tank.
Cartridges & Chips
• Confirm that the cartridges are recognized by the printer and that the chips are clean/undamaged. If the printer isn’t detecting ink properly, it won’t flow.
Printhead Installation
• Double-check the ribbon cables and connections to the printhead. A loose or misaligned cable can cause the head not to fire.

At this stage, I wouldn’t assume the machine itself is defective—it’s often an ink delivery or suction issue. If you’ve already tried these steps and the problem continues, I’d recommend reaching out to Loklik support directly with photos or a short video of the issue. That way, they can confirm whether it’s a hardware fault or something that can be fixed with maintenance.
Hello, how can we tell if the motherboard needs to be replaced?
Hi and welcome @allenaa2412! Here are some references in case your motherboard is failing and needs replacement. However, reaching out to support directly is the best way to confirm the issue. Hope this helps!
How to Tell If the Motherboard Needs Replacement on a LOKLiK DTF Printer
Major Signs the Motherboard Is Failing
These symptoms usually point to a mainboard-level failure, not just a cable, sensor, or software issue:*
1. Printer Has Power but No Initialization Movement
• No carriage movement
• No pump/cleaning cycle
• No display or only frozen display
• Fans run but nothing else responds
This often indicates the board is not communicating with motors or sensors.
2. Printhead Not Firing Even With Good Dampers, Ink Flow, and Cables if:
• Dampers are full
• Ink circulates normally
• Printhead cables are seated correctly
• Printhead is known-good
…but the printer still won’t fire ink, the mainboard may not be sending signals.
3. Random or Repeating Error Codes That Don’t Match Any Real Condition
Examples:
• “Carriage error” when the carriage moves freely
• “Encoder error” even after cleaning/replacing the encoder strip
• “Temperature error” when the heater is normal
When sensors are fine but the board misreads them, the logic controller may be failing.
4. USB Connection Works in One Program but Not in Another
This is common in LOKLiK laser machines, but for DTF printers:
• If the printer is detected by Windows but not recognized by the RIP,
• And drivers are correctly installed,
• And cables/ports are good,
…it can indicate a communication chip failure on the motherboard.
5. Burnt Smell, Visible Damage, or Overheating
Check the board for:
• Burn marks
• Swollen capacitors
• Melted connectors
• Overheating chips
Any of these = immediate replacement.
6. Motors Not Responding Even With Known-Good Motor Drivers if:
• Stepper drivers are replaced or swapped
• Motors work when connected to another port
…but the original ports stay dead → the mainboard’s motor control channels may be blown.
Before Assuming It’s the Motherboard
These steps help rule out cheaper, easier fixes:
Reseat or replace printhead cables
Loose or damaged ribbon cables mimic motherboard failure.
Test with a different USB cable/port
Communication failures can look like board issues.
Check power supply output
A weak PSU can starve the board and cause false errors.
Inspect all fuses on the board
Some DTF boards have tiny onboard fuses that blow before the board does.
Try a firmware reset or reinstall
Corrupted firmware can cause “dead board” symptoms.
When It’s Definitely the Motherboard
You can be confident the board needs replacement if:
The printer powers on but does absolutely nothing
No motors, no sensors, no initialization.
Multiple unrelated components fail at once
(e.g., heater + carriage + pump)
Known-good components work on another printer but not yours
The board shows physical damage or overheating
