DTF Printer won't print

I have the LokLik DTF printer and it won’t print. I have made sure the print head is not clogged, and I removed air from the tubes. I have a job that needs to get done ASAP.

How can I fix as this is a new machine.

  1. Ink Sac Absorption Make sure the ink sac is properly sealed and absorbing ink. If it’s not, try gently pressing the sac to ensure it’s snug against the printhead. You can also run the “Add Ink” function in the BetterPrinter software to help draw ink through the system.
  2. Printhead Alignment If the printhead isn’t centered on the ink pad, it won’t seal properly. In BetterPrinter, go to System Set, enter password 666888, then adjust the “Return Distance” under the Motor tab to center the printhead.
  3. Ink Pad Seal The ink pad must press tightly against the printhead base. Adjust the “Flash Height” and “Pump Height” under Clean cfg in BetterPrinter to ensure a full seal. Typical values: Flash = 200, Pump = 600–750.
  4. Manual Ink Suction If ink still won’t flow, pour a little warm water on the ink pad, then use a syringe on the waste ink tube to manually draw ink through. Repeat 2–3 times, then retry the “Add Ink” process.
  5. Software & Firmware Check Make sure BetterPrinter and RIIN software are installed correctly and not running from a USB stick. Always copy them to your computer first. Also confirm your RIP settings are sending the correct ink channels, especially for white ink.
  6. Power Supply & Motherboard If the printer goes through motions but no ink prints, the motherboard or power supply might not be delivering proper voltage. A multimeter test can confirm this. Some users have resolved this by replacing or repairing the board.

Hello, I need some help with my Loklik DTF printer (XP600). The printer is not printing and it also doesn’t absorb ink. I already replaced the printhead once, but the issue continues. Is there any update or advice about this problem?

Thank you!

Hi and Welcome to the Community @decoarti.fl! Thanks for reaching out. I know how frustrating it can be when your printer isn’t cooperating, especially after replacing the printhead. Let’s go through a few things step by step:

:small_blue_diamond: Ink Flow & Lines
• Check if the ink lines are properly primed and free of air bubbles. Sometimes the printer won’t absorb ink if there’s trapped air.
• Make sure the dampers are seated correctly and not clogged.

:small_blue_diamond: Capping Station & Pump
• If the capping station isn’t sealing tightly or the pump isn’t pulling ink, the printhead won’t stay primed. Try running a cleaning cycle and see if ink is being pulled into the waste tank.

:small_blue_diamond: Cartridges & Chips
• Confirm that the cartridges are recognized by the printer and that the chips are clean/undamaged. If the printer isn’t detecting ink properly, it won’t flow.

:small_blue_diamond: Printhead Installation
• Double-check the ribbon cables and connections to the printhead. A loose or misaligned cable can cause the head not to fire.

At this stage, I wouldn’t assume the machine itself is defective—it’s often an ink delivery or suction issue. If you’ve already tried these steps and the problem continues, I’d recommend reaching out to Loklik support directly with photos or a short video of the issue. That way, they can confirm whether it’s a hardware fault or something that can be fixed with maintenance.
