Crafting as a kid was different for a lot of us pre cutting machines and simple things a lot that are showing up more and more.
I rember watching my grandma crochet or knit blankets when I was under 7.
I think one of my first crafting by me memories not in school may have been making a scrap book about my biological family that we made I remember putting images of my siblings in it and choosing paper that went with things something to write and such.
Then I am not sure when it was but fusion beads was so much fun make a design on a pegboard and melt it together for it to stay… then at 8 summer camp was the ultimate crafting wonder! Different sting arts with the box barrel cobra stitches using the blast I like trying to make keychains bracelets and such. Then the bead animals. Making candles, tie dye it was a look what I made and can do wonder. We did not have the internet to look how things worked we had books or we tied something just to see if it would work.
I think that aspect has suck with me most I like trying something before looking it up more then I don’t have expectations of an out com it’s let’s see if this works for me. Sometimes the kiss method is all that is needed. For those that have not heard kiss method it stands for Keep It Simple Stupid. Some times over thinking has been out own downfalls.
What wonder if crafting did you enjoy as a child?
