Four Oh Five Glitter permanent vinyl-NOT the iron on kind :-)

Does anyone have any experience with Hobby Lobby Four Oh Five brand? I recently purchased a really pretty permanent glitter vinyl that i cannot get my Loklik to cut properly (I am sure it is user error rather than the machine). The instructions on the package say to use the setting for glitter iron on even though it is a permanent vinyl. I tried that and a message appeared on my machine to put the material shiny side down (I assume this is glitter side down) and mirror the image. I tried this as well and it didn’t seem to cut through the vinyl. I am still very new to this type of crafting and I would really appreciate and tips or help anyone can provide.
Thanks

Hello, @Lisa_David.:grinning: Try weeding the corner and see which side is sticky. Whichever the sticky side is on, it needs to face upwards. Shiny side down means that the carrier sheet will be facing down on your mat. Since HTV has a glossy, heat resistant carrier sheet, it’s easy to tell which side faces down. However, with permanent adhesive vinyl, it can be difficult to know which side should face down. So, I use the method of peeling just a corner back to see which side is sticky. That’s the side that should face up, as that is your actual vinyl and not the carrier sheet. Hope this helps. Also, I’d like to suggest using the HTVRONT Holographic Glitter Permanent Vinyl option in the materials panel, rather than the HTV option, and perform a test cut on a small square or star before trying to cut anything large. This will help you to know if you need to make any adjustments to your cut settings. If you have anymore questions, feel free to ask.
