Hello, everyone! Happy Friday!

Travel always brings new experiences, fresh inspiration, and fun memories, whether it’s a big vacation, a work trip, a weekend getaway, or even a short trip close to home.

Sometimes, travel can be even more special when you bring along handmade touches or turn your journey into new craft ideas. :sparkles:Maybe you’ve made something for a trip, like a custom tumbler, luggage tag, travel pouch, matching shirts, or a scrapbook. Or maybe a place you visited gave you inspiration for your next project.

:art: Let’s share together!

Share anything you like, such as:

  • Are you traveling anywhere this year, or have you already gone somewhere recently?
  • Did you make anything handmade for the trip?
  • Have any of your travels inspired a craft idea, color palette, or new project?
  • Did you bring any custom items with you, like a tumbler, bag, tag, or shirt?
  • If you could make one special item for your next trip, what would it be?

The last time I traveled, I went back home to Tennessee. Here’s a photo from the boat we took out on the lake. I do plan to paint this scene one day.

Here is a bag tag I made that was inspired by the idea of traveling. I wanted something to mark my bag when I travel, so it can’t be mistaken for someone else’s bag. However, it’s also just a cute accessory I keep on my camera bag at all times, so it doesn’t just get used during trips.

We’re going to Tenerife, Canary Islands, in June and it can’t come soon enough!

As Tenerife is just off the northwest coast of Africa, the climate is wonderful and far better than the bleak rain of the Scottish Borders.

When my pain is at its worst and even the very strong meds I have (which are usually only given to cancer patients) can’t help, the only thing that offers any relief is heat. A few days in the sun and, when the heat gets in your bones, I’m a different person, with the energy to actually enjoy ‘normal’ activities. I’d gladly up sticks and live there, if I could afford to. Does anyone know the winning numbers for tonight’s Euromillions?!

I made these cups not long after getting my LOKLiK Crafter. Amazing that such fine text has survive dthe battering of several dishwasher cycles and airport suitcase volleyball!

I just went to Salt Lake City last week from Florida and I got A LOT of inspirations from places we visited and stores we went too! It was so beautiful! First time I have EVER seen rain, snow, and sunny in one day and all within 30 minutes! I also went to Texas and got trapped in the snow storm, and drove my first solo trip out of state to Georgia! I found a lot of inspiration from all those places!

My favorite was Salt Lake though!!! But I learned that I need to make something to easily find my suitcase when flying!!!

No trips planned, life is to expensive at the moment. Have Japan and Egypt still on my bucket list though, maybe someday.

I have a lot of trips in mind (Scotland, Italy’s Motor Valley, the Northern Lights, London, Japan…) but I can’t set any dates until my knee heals.
In the meantime, though, I’ve made myself a passport cover. It’s handmade from scratch—my dad cut and sewed it from leather, and I designed and personalized it with HTV.
