These are wonderful! I love the 3D effect! ![]()

Youâll never be comfortable with it, until you go ahead and whip out that brush! ![]()
I encourage you to give it go, even if itâs just to paint random doodles on some paper. ![]()

My Crafting Story
I loved watching bob Ross making his magic trees and mountains
!
My crafting journey began in the most unexpected wayâthrough homeschooling my five-year-old. We live in a failing school district, and making the decision to homeschool wasnât easy, but it was necessary. One of his kindergarten curriculums included art, and they sent us canvases and paint. That simple box of supplies changed everything.
Before October of last year, I had never crafted or created anything. But as we sat together painting and creating, something sparked. What started as an activity for my child quickly became a shared experienceâand then, a personal outlet I didnât know I desperately needed.
Since that moment, crafting has grown into so much more. What began at our kitchen table has turned into a small business creating wreaths and home dĂŠcor, and I continue to explore new techniques and tools as I learn. Every piece I make reflects growth, patience, and heartâbecause Iâm learning as I go.
Crafting has also become my place of peace. I am a full-time caregiver to my husband, my child, my father-in-law, and my mother-in-law, who is bedridden with Alzheimerâs and dementia. Life can be heavy, and worry can be constantâbut when I craft, my mind is clear. Those moments are my escape, my therapy, and my reminder that creativity can exist even in the hardest seasons.
What makes this journey special to me is that it was never planned. It was born from love, necessity, and faithâand it continues to grow one project at a time. Crafting didnât just give me a business; it gave me confidence, calm, and a way to create beauty in the middle of caregiving and chaos.

I donât really have a talent for painting, so I bought a paint-by-numbers canvasâwhere the canvas already has numbers and you simply paint the colors that match each number. The one and only canvas I bought online was this deer.
I always include it in my photoshoots of finished products as part of my background because the meaning of the deer in the Bible is beautiful and meaningful.
So if youâre like me and donât have a talent for painting, you can also just buy a ready-made paint-by-numbers canvas from an online shop.![]()
Your art
is amazing!
Thank you! ![]()
![]()
Iâm happy you think so!
Ummm⌠If you painted that, Iâm here to tell you that you do have a talent for painting. ![]()
That looks great. ![]()
Thank you, Ms. Samantha
I honestly didnât expect it to turn out this way. ![]()
These are all gorgeous ![]()
Iâm not that great at painting plus the clean up is taxing so I try to avoid it
I used to draw, well more on copying only. When I see a blank canvas, I canât think of what to make ![]()
Here are some of my âcopiesâ
Those are amazing ![]()
@shirleycobb, your paintings are wonderful! Thanks for sharing them and the story that goes along with them. Iâm happy art helps you escape the chaos. ![]()
@Rose_Ann_Dauden, youâre very welcome. Sometimes, the most beautiful pieces are the least expected. ![]()
@timmytation, thanks so much! Iâm happy you think so. Yours are amazing, too! Drawing from reference is still drawing, and youâre very good at it. Mine are also drawn from reference. Most artists will tone the canvas with color to eliminate the intimidating stark white surface that causes painterâs block. So, youâre not the only one who âcanât think of what to makeâ on a white canvas. Sometimes, just adding some color will spark the creativity that you need to put something on the canvas.![]()
@Susana_Gallegos, thank you so very much for your sweet comment. Iâm thrilled that you think theyâre amazing. ![]()

Itâs been a while and here are my paintings that I love:
I usually paint on mini canvas because sometimes time is not enough and just keeping it simple so I wonât over complicate it. It is also a great present and giveaway. ![]()
These are absolutely gorgeous! The first one is very stunning!
Youâre very talented. I agree, mini paintings are fun to do, as well! Iâve worked on 1 inch watercolor sheets, myself, and think they can be more satisfying than painting a large 16x20 piece. ![]()
Iâm not allowed to like no oneâs stuff right now lol says Iâve been to like happy but these are beautiful!![]()
Ooooh thanks for that tip
will try it next time ,
Youâre welcome. It definitely helped me, and Iâm sure it will help you, too. ![]()
I donât often paint but when I do it usually is an activity with my daughter⌠and hopefully soon with my son⌠a wonderful way to spend time with the family⌠we draw silly and very random things
I have been painting mostly paint by number lately ⌠thatâs why I got the ipaint. I do it while watching tv since I just canât stand sitting without doing something. The serious painting is reserved for other times.
I use mainly acrylic paints but I do my fare sharer of silk painting. Fave colors ⌠Aqua, pink, and purple. The happy colors of my life. My studio is filled with these colors. I used to work at a senior center as the activities director and a lot of the time was spent finding crafts for seniors to work on the help fill their time. Now Iâm the senior filling my time with crafts. lol
Here are a few of the things I have done. The tree is on my kitchen wall and is filled with the handprints of friends and family members. They are all labeled with a name and a date. Itâs fun to watch my grandchildrenâs hand grow as they grow up. The smallest one is my granddaughter at 3 weeks old.
I really donât paint but I want to do it sometime
