🌳 Friday Fun | Rooted in Nature

Hey everyone! Happy Friday!

I’ve always loved nature, especially trees. Every tree feels one-of-a-kind to me. No matter how the world changes around it, it can still put down roots, stay grounded, and keep growing in its own quiet way.

This is a photo I took while traveling. I love capturing trees because they remind me that strength doesn’t always have to be loud, sometimes it’s simply standing steady and staying true to where you belong.

How about you? In your travels or everyday life, has something in nature ever touched you so much that you wanted to capture it? :camera_flash:

Maybe you took a photo, saved a moment, or even turned it into a craft or design.

Let’s share! :leaves:

Share anything you’d like, big or small:
:evergreen_tree: A tree (or forest) that made you stop and stare
:cherry_blossom: A flower, leaf, or tiny detail you noticed on a walk
:ocean: The ocean, a river, rain, snow… any moment that calmed you
:paw_prints: An animal encounter that made you smile
:art: Have you ever turned a natural moment into a craft/design? (sticker, tumbler, card, shirt, wall art…, anything!)

Photos or short stories are welcome!

:gift: Reward

Everyone who joins will earn 30 Cheers, and 3 lucky participants will receive 100 Cheers each.

If we reach 30 participants, we’ll pick 6 participants to receive 100 Cheers.

Can’t wait to see the nature moments you’ve captured and loved. :herb:

:es: Mi carretera favorita en el mundo.
Se encuentra al lado de mi casa, pasa por la montaña, surcando un bosque, con el río al lado. Se encuentra en la frontera de España con Francia. La paz absoluta que enamora en todas las estaciones del año.

:uk: My favorite road in the world.
It’s right next to my house, winding through the mountains, cutting through a forest, with the river alongside. It’s on the border between Spain and France. Absolute peace and it captivates you in every season.

Oh my goodness — I love traveling, and I love nature.

When I was a little girl, my grandparents would drive us on vacation. My grandmother would give my brother and me cameras to take pictures while we traveled. I truly believe that sparked my love for travel, nature, and capturing special moments along the way.

Here are some pictures I captured while traveling.

One is a beach in Costa Rica. The others are from Hot Springs, Arkansas.

The beauty in nature just captivates me.

We first visited Arizona for our 25th anniversary in 2006. We both knew Arizona was where we belonged. Both of our children had moved away from Delaware … where we raised them and started their adult lives … so we were free to persue the next phase of our lives. Our anniversary was in November. By January we had sold our jouse and drug ourselves in a car trip across the country to AZ to an area called the painted desert. In the spring when the wildflowers are blooming it is amazing. The desert just fills our hearts up. We have an average of 340+ days of sunshine a year. I’ve chosen a few cacti n my front yard.

I like random outdoor photos he’s one of what I could get of the northern lights off the wisconsin river by me and the small amount of time on of the trees on my yard looks pretty. I was trying to find one of the birds one I took but it’s hiding since I was looking for it. My favorite are moon images usually.

I love nature and it helps ground me.

I live near the beach and try to put my toes in the sand as much as I can!
Here is a picture of Atlantis Bahamas waves!

Thinking of making it a graphic for shirts.

I took this yesterday at Burnham Park in Baguio City. The landscaping there is so beautiful, but this one really caught my attention—it’s a contest for the best landscape design. If I only had iPaint machine, this would be one of the projects I would make.

Flowers are my favorite. Simplistic, natural beauty. Spring is my favorite time of year when the brown ick from winter gets washed away, the grass turns green and the trees and flowers start to bloom. Just looking out and seeing all the colors brings me joy and hope. A few more weeks and the rebirth starts. My granddaughter loves flowers, too!

I tried for 6 years to get a good picture of one of the hawks that fly around my house. I was able to get a good picture of one, finally, sitting on the fence. In July of last year, I started spotting Hawks in my bird bath. So, enjoy this nature video of a hawk taking a bath. It gives me joy, I hope it does the same for you.

I get a lot of my inspiration from nature and seeing things in my everyday life. I saw a lovely elderly couple in the park one day. They were on a bench feeding the seagulls. I was there reading but got out my sketch book and drew them. Before I left I gave them the quick sketch I did of them and said they looked so happy with each other that I had to draw them and I hope they didn’t mind. They loved the drawing and said thank you. It was their 50th wedding anniversary in a month and the lady said she would use the drawing for their invitations. Wish I took a Pic of them and the drawing so I would have a copy but I didn’t think of it. I haven’t seen them since at the park but I hope they are doing well.
