Hi Friends. This year we spent Christmas in Florida at my in laws. I lost my Mom suddenly last August and just needed a change of scenery for Christmas. We went to see the Manatees while we were there. They were so fun to watch! This year I am planning to make a Manatee key holder for my mother in law for Christmas. Next week we will be traveling to Ohio for my Cousins wedding. I am trying to be able to laser a cutting board as a gift with my Grandmoms Apple Cake recipe on it. I hope you all have a great weekend.
Gosh, I haven’t traveled anywhere other than my sisters (she’s only an hour away) since 2021. My husband and I went to Florida to spend Thanksgiving with his family. I used to take weekend trips all the time when I had an employee discount from the hotel I worked at, but since leaving employment in 2024 I’ve been a homebody.
This year I traveled to Michigan for my brothers wedding, I couldn’t do much on that trip since we were there for only a few days and focused mainly on the wedding but I made them coasters as wedding gifts. I have a trip planned to Disneyland this year though, it’s my favorite place in the world! So I know I’m gonna have a great time. I made a keychain that’s Minnie Mouse inspired, I’ll get to take that around on my backpack while I’m there. Hopefully I get new creative ideas while I’m there. I know it’s always inspires me to have a more creative outlook on things.
For those wondering my first name is Jocelyn but I go by Diane here
My husband and celebrated out 28th wedding anniversary recently. We had dinner in Dallas, Texas at The Boiling Crab. I made us matching anniversary shirts.

tag!! Ohh and I’m making us matching tumblers as well!
Cute! Where did you go this year? ![]()
When I travel, I like to carry a travel notebook with me. Instead of buying postcards, I draw sketches in it with my travel watercolor kit, take poetic or epistle crazy notes, and make my own quick maps of places that have meaning from that trip. And that way, I keep a wonderful, very personal memory.
My favorite part is from when I lived in Athens and traveled all over Greece. How I miss it!
This is exactly from the day we entered this millennium. The magical light of dawn woke me up. I wasn’t sleepy at all; I felt like someone who has finished a project (a millennium) with satisfaction. And I started drawing what I saw from the window. I’ll never forget that moment.
Αχ νοσταλγία! Αχ αγαπημένη μου Ελλάδα!
You know, I’m not sure why, but our family just loves going to the beach. I guess that makes me a beach person…get it? ![]()

Hello!! Nice reading of all your adventures! This summer we went to Florida. Took my boy to his first Metallica concert, we went to an aquarium, to Universal Studios, Island of Adventure and some other places! It was so much fun!
We didn’t travel much this year, we just visited Lake Biwa, the largest lake in Japan, which is close to where I live (as I was very excited about the trip, I didn’t take any photos; I took these from the internet just to illustrate the place where we stayed).
We also visited Kyoto. These photos were taken at Kyoto Station.
We tried to reach Gion district but it is almost impossible to get there, too crowded ![]()
The landscapes that most inspired me to want to create something were Mount Yoshino during the cherry blossom season.
And the Golden Pavilion in Kyoto City
today we went to korea travel fiesta event at a local mall… being a kpop fangirl my travels usually involve seeing idols
and today was lucky enough to see them without going to Seoul myself…
We went camping in Herkimer, NY earlier this month. Mining, rafting, boat rides and more. It was so much fun! We’re also going to Orlando with my whole family in November so I’ll definitely be making lots of shirts for that trip ![]()
I was able to visit Miami for The Rose concert and the following night we saw Ateez in Orlando. On the way back home we stopped and spent the night at Daytona Beach. My husband went with me as our kids gifted me the trip for Mother’s Day. We had fun, amazing concerts, good food, and lots of fun.
I went to Mexico in January! Absolutely loved snorkeling and made shirts for me and hubby!
