Welcome to community so glad to have you here. Oooh lasers I’ve always wanted one, but just didn’t know which one to get between the fibre laser, diode or cnc

I want to engrave jewellery and also cut it. I also want to cut acrylic LOL so I need to look at something that is compact And suitable to fit in to my space

Each laser has its specific application. For jewelry, a fiber laser is mainly used. For acrylic, a CO2 laser is required.

Just to let you know, my daughter screamed when she saw these. She’s very much in her Harry potter era right now lol. These are very cool.

I was actually looking at these. Do you find it cuts well, any problems with it leaving scorch marks around the cuts? How’s the fume situation, is it really stinky? Also is there a rotary attachment to engrave cups?

Thank you for the information. If I get a CO2 laser, will that also engrave on wood and acrylic?

I think there are rotary attachments for cups and tumblers

I’m no expert but it would be able to. Co2 lasers have trouble with metal and highly reflective materials. I know some colors of acrylic can be hard to cut as well

Yes, there is a rotary attachment for cups, glasses, rings, and more. Using air assist, the scorch marks disappear. The smell is there… you need a box and a fume extraction system.

With a CO2 laser, you can engrave and cut almost anything. The problem is the cost.

Co2 laser is the best option for everything.
My dear is to be able to buy one and have the place for it :see_no_evil:

Which one would you recommend? The problem for me isn’t the price is the size. And you don’t get many that are Compact and small With a higher cutting ability
