Hi there,
I’ve got an HTV Rony automatic machine but it doesn’t seem to be giving enough pressure on vinyl for it to stick properly to the garments. I’ve tried increasing that temperature but that doesn’t seem to work. Any suggestions?
First your sure its htv I ask cause somone had that issue recently and they used vinyl by accident. Second what are you trying to press on to. Auto press 1 or auto press 2? Can you provide photos.
Hello @nornirontees welcome to the community, have you checked the pressure? you are able to adjust the pressure yourself in the settings
To help you better, we need a bit more information. You said the HTVRont automatic machine. Do you mean 1 or 2 ? As @InkiteeWorkshop mentioned on the 2 you can adjust the pressure yourself in the settings. If your machine is the HTVRont auto 2, your’s may look a little different. More like this
If you have the HTVRont Auto 1 machine it will look like this.
If you have the Auto 1, you can’t actually adjust it’s pressure. But there are a few things you can do.
I actually bought a firm heat press mat for it. Looks like this, I took the heat mat that came with it off and use this now with the machine. I got mine from amazon, just make sure you look at the correct size you need.
Making sure you are using HTV. There is adhesive vinyl and heat transfer vinyl. To check to see which one you have, you can peel a bit of the corner from the carrier sheet (plastic sheet). If the vinyl is sticky, it’s adhesive vinyl, if its not sticky then its HTV.
Another thing that may be stopping the HTV to stick properly is because your garments have moisture. I recommend prepressing your garment for 5 to 10 seconds and then placing your HTV on and press for the required time.
Wrong settings may also stop the HTV sticking. Your HTV should of come with instructions saying Temp and time, also if it’s a cold or hot peel.
If you feel you are getting uneven pressure or not enough pressure it could be because the garment you are pressing has thick seams. You can insert a pressing pillow or folded tea towel into the garment to reduce the seam thickness.
Please share more info if the above tips didn’t help you.
