I wanted to share a little hack I tried today!
Last time, I made a Filipiñana costume for my daughter, but the skirt’s edge became quite messy because the fabric was a bit fragile, and the threads kept looping around her shoes (which had little pearl decorations). ![]()
Since their United Nations event is today, she’ll be wearing the same costume again. I already trimmed the loose threads, but I knew the same problem would happen once she started moving around. So, instead of sewing or risking further damage, I decided to use my HTV! I cut some strips and pressed them along the skirt’s edge to cover up the loose threads. It not only fixed the problem, but it also made the skirt look neat again. ![]()
