Htvront H10

Hello, everyone! I have a question. I own the Htvront H10. Pressing down on it can sometimes hurt my back. Is there something heavy I can put on top to increase the pressure for me? I thought of going to Home Depot and buying a brick.

Hi @retrogirl1961. I’m just curious, do you press on a surface that is higher than waist high? I like to use mine on a surface that’s in between waist and mid thigh. Also, how many pounds of pressure do you normally press at, and what materials and blanks are you using? You may just be using more pressure than necessary. For classic HTV on basic T-shirts, you only need about 40 lbs of pressure.

Tips to Reduce Back Pain:

  • Stagger Your Feet: Place one foot slightly forward and one back. This helps take pressure off your lower back and hips while leaning over the table.
  • Adjust Workspace Height: Ensure your pressing surface is at a height where you can keep your back relatively straight while applying downward force.
  • Engage Your Core: Tightening your abdominal muscles while pressing can help stabilize your spine and relieve some of the direct pressure on your back.
  • Use Body Weight, Not Just Arms: Lean your upper body over the press rather than just pushing with your arm muscles to achieve the necessary PSI.
