✨ IDEA LAB Vol.06 | How Do You Digitize Embroidery Designs?

Welcome back to IDEA LAB, where your real experiences shape better creative tools, smarter software, and future HTVRONT features. :yellow_heart:

This round, we’re focusing on embroidery digitizing, how you create, adjust, refine, and prepare designs before stitching.

Whether you digitize every day or only occasionally, your insights can directly guide how we improve our upcoming embroidery digitizing software.

:mag: What We’d Love to Learn

In this IDEA LAB session, we’re hoping to understand:

  • What your typical digitizing workflow looks like
  • Which parts feel smooth — and which parts slow you down or cause confusion
  • How you adjust elements like density, underlay, stitch order, or fabric settings
  • What you wish digitizing software could do better
And anything else you’d love to share.

Your real experiences help shape the direction of our future software.

:memo: How to Participate

Step 1 — Fill out a quick Form: Help Us Build Our Embroidery Software - Quick Survey. Share your experience and digitizing habits to help us learn more.

Step 2 — Interview: If selected, our UX Research Team will contact you to schedule a 1:1 online interview.

Interview details:

  • Duration: around 45 minutes
  • We’ll ask you to briefly walk through your digitizing workflow

:gift:Reward

Participants who complete the interview will receive a $30 appreciation bonus for sharing your experience.

:speech_balloon: Let’s Share Together!

We’d love to hear from you:

Which features matter the most to you, and which parts of the entire digitizing workflow do you find the most challenging?

Feel free to share your insights truly help us understand what creators need.

I really miss my embroidery machine and the whole digitizing process. There’s something so satisfying about designing in my software and then watching it come to life—stitched beautifully onto clothes, bags, tablecloths, napkins, and more. It’s pure creative magic!

It’s been a while, but I finally opened up my embroidery software again and started playing around. Here are a few examples of what I can create with it!

I love to embroider. And can do basic digitizing. But with all the great work out there it’s really easier to just find a design already made.
This is one that I did that I was really proud of.
