This dream catcher isn’t just paper and cardstock.
It represents seasons of my life.
There was a time when my dreams felt tangled…
When my thoughts were heavy…
When I wasn’t sure what the future would look like.
But recovery taught me something powerful —
You don’t have to chase every thought.
You don’t have to hold onto every mistake.
You can let some things pass through.
So when I created this woven design, I thought about how life is layered. Every strip represents a day. Some were bright. Some were dark. But together? They made something beautiful.
The flowers remind me that growth doesn’t happen overnight. It happens one day at a time. The leaves represent new life. And the soft colors? That’s peace — the kind I prayed for.
Today, I choose to catch the good.
I choose to release the rest.
I choose to dream again.
This isn’t just a craft.
It’s a reminder that God can weave broken pieces into purpose.
Just for today, I’m grateful for new dreams.
Just for today, I choose peace.
Very pretty! ![]()

Thank you I was running out of ideas being so tired and still sneezy and congested! I just googled and idea and this popped out to me and momma always told me go with instinct feelings! I love
it the hand weaving the paper was actually kind of satisfying because it reminded me of my grandmother when she would make homemade apple pies or peach pies for Thanksgiving and Christmas because she would hand weave the dough!
You’re very welcome.
Yeah, weaving is certainly therapeutic. I almost did some weaving with my hot air balloon basket, but I got lazy.
I saw your dreamcatcher and was like, hmmm, we were kind of thinking along the same lines. ![]()
It looks great.

Every time I sit down at my table and open up LokLik Ideal Studio to pull up my bunny template, I’m not just starting a craft… I’m starting a memory.
I design each bunny — for girls with sweet pink gingham bows and for boys with their own special touches — thinking about my kids and now my grandchildren. I can still see their little faces on Easter morning, running to find their baskets, full of excitement and wonder.
Once the design is ready, I send it to my iCraft cutting machine and watch it carefully cut each piece out of sturdy cardstock. There’s something so peaceful about that process — layering the ears, placing the tiny paws, lining up those sweet little faces. It reminds me of when my babies were small and I would fix their outfits just right before church.
I tie each one with simple jute for the hanger — rustic, strong, and full of charm. Just like family. Then I add that soft pink checkered gingham ribbon for my bunny girls, or adjust the style for my boys. A quick coat of Mod Podge over the top seals it all in — protecting it, preserving it… just like I wish I could preserve every season of motherhood.
Making these isn’t just crafting. It’s love layered in cardstock. It’s tradition cut with intention. It’s Mimi’s hands creating something my grandchildren can hang on their door or basket one day and say, “She made this for me.”
That’s why I do it.
For the boys.
For the girls.

Story:
Eguzkilore, which in Basque means Flower of the Sun (eguzki = sun and lore = flower), is a very characteristic protective symbol present in Basque culture, mythology, and traditions.
It’s a tradition where I live to place one on the front door of the house to provide protection and ward off all evil. Currently, this flower is protected and not so easy to find, so I designed one.
I hope it protects my house from all harm.
