So I was hoping to make stickers for an event I’m vending at this weekend. I did a practice run with some sample stickers about a few weeks ago and they came out OKAY. But my issue is that I can’t get it to do the kiss-cut style that I need for my full sticker sheets (these will be 8.5x11 US). I’ve supplied a link to the IG post showing the machine cutting around the stickers. Granted they did cut BUT the shapes were a bit off.
I am updated on IS software and I’m using the HP Deskjet 2800e (no I don’t have the funds for an Epson so please don’t advise me to get one at this time. I will in the future thanks!). It is an inkjet computer. I always print at 100% anbd never full scale. I’m not able to print on the HTVRont Transparent Sticker sheet because it doesn’t hold ink all that well. I’m having to use matte sticker paper from Cricut and then cover it with a waterproof protector sheet (from HTVRont) to make sure they will last.
I’ve seen some threads about the Print-then-Cut function not going right especally with the whole offset feature. I don’t understand why they won’t fix that so it can be manually adjusted instead of waiting for the software to read the image, take it’s sweet time making adjustments, and then those adjustments only go up by a few millimeters smh. And the calibration is questionable. I’ve ran it multiple times to get it to cut correctly, but for whatever reason it won’t adjust with the numbers I put in there and will almost cut the image itself. I will upload exactly what I’m attempting to cut. I plan to add my logo to the sheets cuz folks have to remember where they came from lol (branding is everything). But as you can see the stickers are very simple. While they are very detailed liltte cuties, it shouldn’t be difficult to ensure that the machine doesn’t cut into these designs. This is what I’m using to do a sample test and I legit just gave up. Doing offset takes FOREVER (it shouldn’t cuz you know it’s 2025 smh).
If ya’ll know of any updated tips or tricks that would be awesome sauce lol.
