laser head lever is not tightening to hold in place when adjusting placement, it worked to adjust up and down for one day then now it is just loose
Hello @JohnsonCarmelita. Welcome to the community.
It sounds like the lever that holds your laser head in place isn’t tightening anymore. When that happens on the iEngrave, it’s usually because one of the parts inside the clamp has slipped or worn out. The lever relies on a small screw and a metal insert inside the laser head to create pressure — if the threads strip, the insert comes loose, or the tension washer fails, the lever will spin but won’t actually tighten.
A quick way to check:
-
If the lever turns with no resistance, the tension washer may have failed.
-
If it turns normally but never “grabs,” the threads may be stripped.
-
If the clamp area twists slightly when you turn the lever, the internal insert may have come loose.
Unfortunately, once this happens, it usually can’t be fixed at home. LOKLiK has been known to replace the laser head or clamp assembly for issues similar to this. If you’ve had your machine less than a year, it’s still under warranty — reaching out to their support team is the best next step.
You can contact them at support@loklik.com or through their warranty page.
If your trying to move it to high or to low it doesn’t hold is it all read it’s not holding in?
