Learning by Doing: How the HTVRONT & LOKLiK Communities Help Us Grow as Crafters

One of the best parts about being part of the HTVRONT and LOKLiK crafting communities is realizing that you don’t have to have everything figured out to start creating. In fact, the magic happens when you experiment.

When I first joined these communities, I was honestly a little nervous to share my projects — would they be good enough? Would anyone care? But what I quickly discovered is that these spaces are built on encouragement, curiosity, and growth. It’s not about perfection — it’s about progress.

Every time I scroll through the HTVRONT or LOKLiK Facebook groups, I see crafters testing new materials, comparing settings, and sharing honest feedback about what worked and what didn’t. And that’s exactly what makes these communities so special — we’re all learning out loud together.

Here’s what I’ve learned from being part of both worlds:

  • Experimentation is the best teacher. Watching someone try a new material, a different temperature, or a new press technique inspires me to test my own boundaries.
  • Shared experiences save time (and frustration!). A quick scroll through the comments can reveal the perfect setting or a troubleshooting tip that saves a whole project.
  • Creativity sparks creativity. Seeing what others make with the same tools — an HTVRONT Auto Press or a LOKLiK iEngrave — reminds me that the possibilities are endless. We might all start with the same machine, but every project has its own heart and story.
  • Community keeps you motivated. On days when inspiration runs low or a project doesn’t go quite right, seeing others share their honest “oops” moments helps me stay positive and keep going.

For me, using the HTVRONT Tumbler Press and the LOKLiK iEngrave Laser has opened up a whole new world of creative possibilities. But what truly elevates the experience is the people behind the machines — the ones who share their favorite materials, post photos of their wins, and encourage others to try something new.

Crafting can sometimes be a solitary hobby, but in these communities, it feels like we’re all gathered around a giant virtual craft table — swapping stories, cheering each other on, and reminding one another why we fell in love with creating in the first place.

So here’s to learning, experimenting, and growing — together. Whether it’s your first project or your hundredth, there’s always something new to discover when you’re part of the HTVRONT and LOKLiK family.

Thank you @Cory_Barger this post is so inspiring! I too am at the beginning stages and eager to start experimenting. It is comforting knowing that everyone starts somewhere not always in our comfort zones but bravely taking on the challenge to just try and once you do…Wallah the beginning of a crafting journey full of all kinds of possibilities!. Thank you again and to LOKLIK/HTVRONT for supporting us in all the ways possible! :smiling_face_with_tear: :clap:t2:

@LAJUANA_ANTHONY you are so right on. There are so many possibilities, ideas, and opportunities. Everyone in our family has their own specialty and something to teach us all. The main goal is to find what is your crafting passion and put your heart into it. And I could not agree more that LOKLiK and HTVRONT have helped support all of us in our crafting adventures! Happy crafting!!
