I managed to get hold of the Loklik Roll Holder and I have a roll of 12" Vinyl.
Am I supposed to use a cutting mat with rolls of vinyl?
I assume so, to hold the vinyl steady, but what if I wanted to make a long banner, which I thought was one of the advantages of the Roll Holder?
The Roll Holder comes without an instruction book, just very brief instructions on the side of the box.
You need smart materials so they can be held down and not move during the cut.
I will post a tutorial today here in the community about it.
And here is a video too.
Yes, you can use the roll holder with a roll of vinyl or htv. The roll of vinyl or htv needs to be 13inchs wide. Most of the time it is called smart vinyl or smart htv. This can only be used with the LOKLiK iCraft not the Crafter machine.
Place the roll holder in front of your iCraft machine.
Place your vinyl roll into the roll holder so that the vinyl feeds into the iCraft machine
Make sure your vinyl goes under the side bars ensuring your vinyl goes in straight.
Then press the load button on your iCraft
I’ve found it on Amazon. HTVRONT sells 13 inch smart htv on amazon in gold and silver at the moment. There are other companies that make it too. Just make sure whatever you buy is 13 inchs wide.
Apparently not on Amazon UK where I am. I can only find 12" HTV Vinyl. There seems to be only a small number of 13" rolls but only in permanent sticky vinyl, not HTV.
I’m really looking for plain colours. I did find some on Temu.
I’m told I have to prove my age because I bought some replacement blades for the LokLik iCraft. I don’t think I’d be able to stab someone with one of those.
Oh that’s good, yeah anything sharp or dangerous goods you need to prove your age. I buy isopropyl alcohol in bulk for my Resin 3D printing and I have to prove my age each time.
