To use matless cutting for larger designs, is there a specific kind of vinyl required? I know other brands offer their “smart” vinyl. Is this a need for the Loklik cutting machine, or will a standard roll of permanent vinyl be sufficient?
Any recommendations?
Hi, yes you do need smart vinyl or vinyl like it, some companies don’t call it smart. This vinyl reaches the full width of the cutting machine area (13inches) so the vinyl can be fed into the machine correctly and not move. This vinyl also has a thicker backing material to protect your cutting machine from possible damage.
The vinly’s width should reach the end rollers so it’s around 13 inches. I’ve tried cutting matless using teckwrap vinyl with my icraft
