For this Mother’s Day card, I used a beautiful blue cardstock cut to 4" x 8"—a non-traditional size, but one I really love. I uploaded my own front design and cut it out, then glued a piece of gold mirror cardstock behind the cutout, with the shiny gold side facing the front. It gave the design a gorgeous, reflective finish.
For the inside sentiment, I used the Print Then Cut feature. I chose a rose graphic from the free library and added my verse using the Aclonica font from ideaStudio. I used the pattern tool to create a rectangle the exact size I needed, printed the verse, and then cut the shape. This way, I didn’t have to align and cut it by hand—it was all perfectly placed using the rectangle shape in the canvas editing tools.
This is absolutely beautiful! I love the elegant blue, it perfectly reflects a mother’s gentle strength and love. The verse inside is so heartfelt and graceful. Thank you for sharing such a meaningful creation with us
Thank you so much for your lovely words! I’m so glad the card resonated with you. Blue has always reminded me of my mum’s card making days, so it felt just right for this design. I really appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts, it means a lot!
thanks a lot, it is a beautiful colour and it looked really good with the silver mirror card behind it as well, i had trouble choosing between the two lol
