Phone Case Heat Press [RESOLVED]

Are ceramic coasters compatible? I attempted to do a coaster, but image didn’t transfer with color. I used the recommended heat settings of 285F with 10sec/ then 300secs.

I went back to where I purchased the coaster but, no details in regards of heat settings.

If anyone has purchased coaster from Amazon and it worked, please drop the link.

Great question @Doyli_Izaguirre Short answer: no you need a coaster that’s specifically sold as a sublimation blank. Regular ceramic tiles/coasters won’t accept sublimation ink because they don’t have the polyester coating the ink bonds to. I havent received my H17 yet so I can’t give info, maybe others can chime in about coasters.

It’s already been done on HTVRont’s YouTube channel, but it has to have a poly coating for sublimation, not a plain ceramic coaster.

Yes coasters can totally be done in the HTVRont H17 phone case heat press. As @InkiteeWorkshop said, All blanks that are used need to be specific sublimation blanks or have a sublimation coating applied. Where you got your blank from, does it specifically state for Sublimation?

Turns out the coasters I had purchased were for crafting not sublimation. :weary:

I’ve made some really cool looking coasters with adhesive vinyl. There is a sublimation coating spray you could try on them, if you wanted to as well. See how it goes. Depending how good they are, you may even be able to place sublimation htv on them and then add a sublimation print over the top.

Just some ideas, but yeah anything you buy for sublimation make sure it says sublimation blank or its polyester, the higher the count the better.
