Start of another week again! Lots of things I want to do this week, but I wonder how many I’ll get done. Life always gets in the way to trip me up

Good morning and Happy Monday, y’all! Today my mood is “thankful”! I had a good weekend spending time with mom and getting the books done with the hubby for the business. Just a bit left to do and we can wrap up the 2025 year books and turn them over to the accountant. Thinking of ideas for entering the home-decor challenge! What’s everyone up to this week? I hope y’all have a great week!

Day 33 - Sitting with some mixed feelings today.

“I put care into my replies, and I expect the same level of respect in return.”

Wishing everyone a Wonderful and Blessed Week ahead!

Happy Monday my mood is peaceful and uplifted. Today, I honored my son, my first love. When I made my candle, what once brought me to tears now brings a quiet calm. Learning to live differently without someone you gave life to is hard, but I’m proud of where I am now, because it’s not where I used to be. It’s a kind of peace that settles in your chest and softens your whole day.

Someone said that to you, @rinsky? I’ve never received anything but care and respect in your replies, so I’m confused. You’re always so sweet and helpful. I can’t imagine anyone thinking otherwise.

This is awesome! We definitely need more videos like this on YouTube, especially since when I first bought my equipment, it was tough to find tutorials on the iCraft and similar topics. I’ve been thinking about starting to make tutorials on the machines I have so that as I learn, I can help others too.

Day 33- Today I am feeling renewed. @Gracelynthomas4 how are you feeling today?

Thank you for the encouraging words, Katrina!:heart: I’m so happy you think so. I felt the same way when I first started with my Loklik Crafter. Now that I know more about how everything works, I wanted to do a walkthrough so that others could have the help they’re looking for available to them. You definitely should start a channel and post your wisdom for others, as well. I will be happy to subscribe and be there to give my support!:+1:

@Samantha_Bryant, A person who hasn’t been active for months popped in, read for a few minutes, and decided to comment on someone else’s post saying my replies “weren’t genuine” because she believed I used ChatGPT instead of respecting the time the original poster put into their message. I honestly didn’t realize that using a translation or writing tool would be considered “dishonest” to anyone.

To be transparent: I use ChatGPT mainly to help translate languages I don’t speak. Ask me anything about Chemistry and I’m fine without assistance — but I don’t have a master’s or doctorate in Linguistics. Like most people here, I’m juggling a lot in my daily life, so sometimes I use tools to help me communicate more clearly. Even then, I always read the original post fully before responding.

If anyone ever feels uncomfortable or has concerns about how I communicate, please reach out to me directly. I’m more than willing to talk it through. This situation was uncomfortable for me, and I’d prefer open, respectful conversation moving forward.

That’s just ridiculous on their part. I’m sorry they felt the need to say something like that. There’s nothing wrong with using AI to help translate and/or help you arrange your thoughts in a clear and understandable manner. It’s a tool, just like spell check/autocorrect. Just because the phone or computer changes my spelling, doesn’t mean I didn’t put the effort in to creating the post. :woman_shrugging:t3: I will also use AI tools to help me format my posts, sometimes, but I’m the one who still took the time and effort to inform the tool what I want to say. It just arranges it in a manner that is more readable & understandable to the reader(s). Don’t feel bad about that. I think people who have issues with AI just don’t understand the tool, themselves, therefore, they think it’s just doing all the work. It’s not. Like all tools, it needs someone to tell it what actions to make. A hammer may force a nail into the wall, but it’s not going to do so without me picking it up and putting it into action. So, does that mean I didn’t put in care & effort to put the nail into the wall? No! It was a collaboration between myself and the hammer AND the nail! AI is also a collaboration between us and it. If it helps you, as that’s what it’s made for, then that’s awesome! Keep using it. That other person is probably jealous. That’s what I’ve learned about negative people. :woman_shrugging:t3: This kind of goes along with my Bible reading, this morning, where Job tells his “friends” they are “miserable comforters.” He found their words empty and hurtful, adding to his pain rather than easing it. We should always speak to build each other up, rather than tearing each other down. Those who tear others down are just miserable with themselves. You’re doing an awesome job here! Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise.

This is so true. I write my own messages, and I use an editing tool to refine them—just like you mentioned. I’m always careful about what I send because AI or any quick tool isn’t perfect. They make mistakes too, and I even highlighted that in my recent YouTube video while designing my logos.

“It’s true — not everyone will appreciate what I do, and that’s perfectly okay.”

Thank you so much for your encouraging words. I really appreciate it! :kissing_heart:

Yes, you definitely did mention that in your video, and I make sure to read every word to check for accuracy, as well. That, alone, requires time and effort, that you wouldn’t have done if you didn’t care.

You’re so very welcome. I love to encourage others, & I just don’t want this person to make you feel like you’re not good enough. Of course you are! You’re a CHEMIST! That’s amazing! You should be so very proud of being you, no matter what tools you use to assist you. :kissing_heart::two_hearts::heartbeat::heartpulse:

Awww! Thank you, Diane. That means a lot. That’s what I strive for, to be the example, the change I’d like to see in the world. It truly does start with ourselves. If we could all be more understanding and encouraging to one another, this world would be such a better place. :kissing_heart::two_hearts::heartbeat::heartpulse:
