Hey everyone! I just finished putting together a full Introduction to Loklik IdeaStudio 3.0.0, and I wanted to share it here for anyone who’s new to the software or still trying to figure out where everything is.
This video walks through every major tool in IdeaStudio — from shapes and text to the pen tool, uploads, clipping masks, layers, offset, print‑then‑cut, and more. If you’ve ever opened the program and felt a little lost, this is a great place to start. My goal was to make a simple, honest overview that helps beginners understand what each tool does and how the interface works before jumping into more advanced projects. I’ll be working on a mobile version, this week, and will be diving deeper into the Image Matting tools in that video.
Feel free to use the timestamps to jump to whatever tool you’re curious about. Hope it helps someone feel a little more confident using IdeaStudio!
I also put together a full blog post on my website that walks through every tool in Loklik IdeaStudio 3.0.0. If you prefer having something you can reference anytime, this written guide is perfect to keep on hand. It includes all the tools, explanations, and details from the video in an easy-to-read format. Hope it helps anyone who likes learning at their own pace!
Great information, thank you so much for sharing. I know personally how hard making videos are and appreciate the time and effort you took to do this for fellow community members.
Awww! Thanks so much, Belle! That means a lot. Yes, it does take a lot of time, energy, and effort, and I appreciate you doing the same. I’m not trying to step on anyone’s toes, in making videos. I feel like the more information that’s out there, the better. I’m making dinner right now, but plan on sitting down and watching yours while I eat dinner and wind down for the evening. I wanted to wait to comment on yours until I actually watched it. I appreciate you very much for watching mine and giving such fantastic support. Sending you much love and lots of hugs!
No, I didn’t take it that way at all. And I hope my tutorial video didn’t come across that way to you either. I really believe there’s room for everyone to share what they know.
Honestly, there are some crafty YouTubers I just can’t connect with—something about their style doesn’t click for me. That’s why I’m so grateful there are so many creators out there sharing knowledge freely. I’d hate to rely on just one person’s content when I’m trying to learn something new.
No, I didn’t take it that way, at all, either. I love seeing Loklik creators pop up on my YouTube feed, and would love to see more of our community members start sharing their creative journeys. I really wanted to make a blog post on my website, and felt like it should be accompanied with a video. Most of my videos come about through my blog ideas lol. I never want to step on anyone’s toes, and I’m not trying to compete with anyone. I want us all to win, always!
As I’m watching your video, though, I notice some things are a little different from mine, such as the material size. I’m assuming that’s because you’re using the iCraft, because it says Matless Materials. So, my tutorial is mostly catered to those using the Crafter, I suppose. Although, I just ordered my iCraft, this morning! So, I’ll be learning more about it during this watch. Both videos have different content, in that aspect, and so far, you have included things that I didn’t include, and have learned some things from it, already. I also want to say, I’m honored to have been featured in your video! I saw you choose my project and got so excited! Thanks for the feature! I’m going to watch as much as I can before I go to bed, and will finish it in the morning. So far, I’m enjoying it very much!
Oh, you are very welcome being featured in my video. It is a very eye-catching project. I actually added your channel to my description if anyone wants to find you as well.
