Future football moms shirt project

I created this custom “Football Mom 2027” shirt using Ideal Studio, my printer, DTF film, DTF powder, and my manual heat press — and this DTF hack actually worked amazing! Here’s my simple step-by-step process for anyone wanting to make team mom shirts this season.

  1. Create your design in Ideal Studio
  • Add your football mom wording
  • Choose your fonts and graphics
  • Size your image to fit your shirt
  1. Print your design using the print the cut feature to where you can print the design only use the print part we’re not gonna actually cut the design!!!
  • Print the image mirrored onto DTF film using your printer
  • Make sure ink coverage is even and vibrant
  1. Apply DTF powder
  • While the print is still wet, coat the entire design with DTF powder
  • Shake off all excess powder carefully
  1. Cure the design
  • Cure the powder until it melts and becomes smooth
  • I used heat carefully until the powder turned glossy
  1. Prep your shirt
  • Pre-press shirt for 5-10 seconds to remove moisture and wrinkles
  1. Press the DTF transfer
  • Place cured transfer on shirt
  • Press using manual heat press with firm pressure
  • Press around 300-325°F for about 15-20 seconds
  1. Peel and final press
  • Let cool slightly then peel film carefully
  • Cover with Teflon sheet and do a final press for 5-10 seconds for a soft professional finish

This was such a fun football mom project and turned out way better than I expected! Perfect for future team moms, spirit wear, and Friday night lights

Ahhhh, I see.:+1: Well, let us know how it does after a wash. I use printable vinyl, and it sometimes fades the ink. If this hack doesn’t fade after washing, I’ll definitely give it a go. Maybe, add one of these pics to your other post?
