Project | Beer lover

:uk: I’m a firm believer in the saying “I believe in the healing power of a good beer in the sun with friends.” So, after brewing my own craft beer at home, I decided to create a card to present it on the tasting day, in honor of Valentine’s Day.

I love dedicating time to ideas and things I enjoy and turning them into tangible projects that I can then taste, share, or give as gifts.

In this case, I created the bottle labels using a brush lettering font, cut from LokLik gold vinyl with the cut option in the design program.
For the cards, I started with a pixelated heart image, creating a pop-up system with the marking and cutting options. The material I used was 200GSM cardstock in different colors. The cover is made with the same material, using an image from the IdeaStudio library and creating a relief effect with several layers. The text inside was also taken from the design program’s library and created using iCraft Machine’s drawing tool with a red LokLik marker.

I hope it inspires you.

Cheers & love :beers:

Salud y amor :beers:

So wonderfully done, and very creative! And I must say, I’m jealous that you have pens for the Loklik that aren’t just black!:+1::heart:

¡Qué bien hecho y qué creativo! Y debo decir que me da envidia que tengas bolígrafos para el Loklik que no sean solo negros.:+1::heart:

Thanks! I bought the markers at the same time as the iCraft from the LokLik Europe website; they come in 12 colors. Is this product not available worldwide?

You’re welcome. No, they’re not available in the US. :sob: I’ve been begging for them for 2+ years.:+1:

Seriously? That’s a shame. If it’s any consolation, the markers come with a fine tip and a brush tip, but I’ve only been able to use the fine one.

Yeah, the black one’s the same. I use the brush tip to manually fill in the letters on the fonts for which it just does the outlines. I would love to have all the colors. I have 100 colored dual ended finetip/brush pens, but they don’t fit in my Loklik Crafter or the iCraft. I just got excited thinking they might actually work in the iCraft — since I haven’t tried them with it, yet — but nope, they don’t. I don’t understand why. They’re shaped just like the Loklik pens. Makes no sense. :woman_shrugging:t3:

This is such a beautiful blend of creativity and intention. You can really feel the love and thought you poured into every step, from brewing the beer itself to designing a card that turns the moment into a full experience, not just a gift. The way you combined brush lettering vinyl, layered cardstock, and the pop up heart mechanism shows a great understanding of both design and storytelling. Projects like this are a perfect reminder of why handmade always feels more meaningful. Thank you for sharing your process and inspiration, it’s absolutely something that will spark ideas for others in the community.

The loklik pen is slightly smaller in the fine end.

Oh, what a shame you can’t use the color collection you have; visually they look the same.

Thank you so much for your comment. I think those of us here are lovers of things made by hand with love.

Actually, after taking a closer look, the colored ones are just slightly smaller than the Loklik pen. I could understand it not fitting in the Crafter, but the iCraft has a twist mechanism that tightens to the pen/scoring stylus. If my colored pens were larger than the Loklik pens, I think it would actually work. The size difference is just so miniscule, though. I’m thinking I may be able to wrap something with some grip around them and get them to work. Thanks for bringing the size difference to my attention.:+1:

You are welcome it just looked the other way around. But hope you find a good solution.

Yeah, it was difficult to tell from the tape measure, but I put them one in front of the other and could see the Loklik pen was the slightly bigger one. Thanks, I hope I can find a solution, too. It would be fantastic if I could get these colored pens to work.

Would love to know how to craft beer too :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

Like everything we do, it takes time and patience. :sweat_smile:They sell ingredient packs to make 5 liters, and you can achieve the desired result by following the recipe. The quantities and ingredients change depending on the type of beer you want. The processes are simple but involve different phases and waiting times. :hourglass:

Sounds like a science experiment at home :face_with_hand_over_mouth: would love to try but my little gremlins might get curious and jeopardize everything

In that case, it sounds dangerous.
