Story
"Sober, Seasoned, and Still Sassy”—Cup Coasters for Sheila E’s New Chapter
To celebrate my sister’s move into her new place tomorrow, I wanted to gift her something soulful, vibrant, and full of personality just like her. I designed custom cup coasters that honor her journey with flair and intention.
I started with round coaster blanks I found on Amazon—simple, sturdy, and ready to be transformed.
The background and portrait came together in Canva, where I layered warm pinks, yellows, and florals to reflect her radiant spirit.
For the lettering and flower accents, I turned to Ideastudio pulling in playful fonts and bold blooms that say “Sheila E” without saying a word.
I printed the design using HTVRont sublimation paper and my Brother sublimation printer, making sure every detail was crisp and true.
Then I pressed each coaster using my auto heat press at 390°F for 60 seconds. The colors came out so vibrant—I was in love!
To finish, I added rhinestones inside the flowers for a little extra sparkle. It’s the perfect touch of sass and shine.
Each coaster carries the phrase “Sober, Seasoned, and Still Sassy”—a tribute to Sheila’s strength, style, and comeback. It’s more than a gift it’s a celebration of her new beginning.
