I just noticed that the graduate has the crossover in the letters. If you’d like to remove that, next time, you can use Combine > Subtract Crossover and it will weld all of the letters together. That way, you won’t have those little slits cutting into the letters. If you had done this with a cutting machine, it would’ve cut into the letters, making each letter a separate letter. This happens with all cursive fonts and can happen with some regular fonts. You can click View > Contour to see if the letters cut into each other. It can be difficult to see in fill mode.
I thought that was just the design and I’m sure they did too. Glad you explained this to me! You are always teaching me stuff and I appreciate it so much!
You’re most welcome. You know I’m always happy to help.
I know when I first got my cutting machine it drove me crazy. Now, whenever I see others post their crafts and see the crossover, I make sure to explain how to fix it, because I just know they’re wondering why it’s like that — just like I did at first lol. So far, everyone has been grateful for the info. ![]()
