Project | Mom Floral Card Tag

With LOKLiK IdeaStudio and Crafter/iCraft, create a set of simple but eye‑catching mini cards in coloured cardstock, with a sparkle of holographic vinyl .

  • Start by adding a simple flower design from the Library
  • Create a very thin outline with the Offset tool, then Subtract the flower petals and disk from the filled outline shape
  • Then add a square from the Shapes palette and score lines so it folds neatly into a small, gift‑tag‑style card
  • Subtract the remaining part of the flower outline from the centre of the square
  • Create two small thin rectangle shapes and Unite them with the rectangle at the overlap with the petals, just below the score lines. This step prevents the flower shape from being completely cut out from the square
  • Create a text box and change the text to ‘mom’ then position this near to the bottom edge of the square
  • Select the Subtract Crossover function of the Combine tool so that the letters cut as a single piece

Once the shapes are ready, send them to your cutting machine, selecting the appropriate settings so the machine cuts cleanly through the heavier kraft and the smoother coloured sheets. The LOKLiK Crafter and iCraft handle the details beautifully, giving each card a crisp silhouette.

For the text, rainbow silver holographic permanent adhesive vinyl adds a bright, reflective contrast against the matte cardstock. After cutting, weed the vinyl and use low-tack painters tape or washi tape to carefully place the text on the cardstock.

The final result is a set of small, handmade cards that feel both rustic and polished - warm cardstock textures paired with a flash of holographic shine, that any mother will love.
