I finally made my very first welcome mat — and it’s everything I dreamed of. I started in Idea Studio, designing the lettering and layout with intention and love. Because the print was large and I was using my HTVront DTF printer, I saved the design as a PDF and uploaded it into the RIIN software. That’s where I added my chosen Bible verse — Deuteronomy 28:6 — and experimented with the lettering styles.
Once the design felt just right, I printed it on film using my HTVront DTF printer, then cured it in the HTVront oven. I gave it a light mist of Easy-Tack spray, placed it on a black polyester mat from Dollar Tree, and pressed it with my Auto Heat Press 2. After peeling the film, I pressed it again to lock in the vibrancy.
The colors pop like a dream — bold, joyful, and full of spirit. My only hiccups? The heart got slightly cut off, and there’s a bit of extra powder on the rug. But honestly? I’m so proud. This mat is a blessing, a milestone, and a reflection of everything I’m building with Kay’s Designz.
