“Sewciopath at Work” Sign – Glitter HTV, Clean Layers & Craft‑Room Humor

For this sign, I wanted to create something bold, funny, and perfect for any sewing space. Designed using elements from the Loklik IdeaStudio library—& system fonts—I started with a scalloped wooden plaque and built the design using a mix of glitter and solid HTV for a clean, eye‑catching finish. The phrase “Sewciopath AT WORK”, buttons, sewing machine, & heart flourish are cut from pink glitter HTV to give it that sparkly, sassy punch, while the scissors are done in crisp black for contrast.

I added two scissor icons and a tiny sewing machine at the bottom to tie the whole theme together and give the sign a polished, cohesive look. Once everything was layered and pressed, I finished it off with twine for easy hanging. The final piece is playful, bright, and full of personality—perfect for announcing that serious stitching is happening behind the door.

Materials & Process:

  • Wooden plaque (scalloped edge)
  • Pink glitter HTV (main phrase + icons)
  • Black HTV (scissors)
  • Cutting machine
  • Heat Press
  • Twine for hanging
