Summertime Candy Dish
This bright and cheerful candy dish was created using my LOKLiK craft machine, Michaels brand vinyl, and a reused upscale candle jar for that perfect blend of eco-friendly and stylish design. The tropical colors and palm detail make it the perfect addition to any summer setup—whether it’s for guests, kids, or just a sweet treat for yourself!
Step-by-Step Instructions:
1. Clean Your Jar
Remove any leftover wax and labels from your candle jar using warm water and soap. Dry completely.
2. Design Your Decal
Use your LOKLiK machine software to create a summer-themed design (palm trees, waves, or fun shapes).
3. Cut the Vinyl
Load your Michaels vinyl into the machine and cut your design.
4. Weed the Design
Carefully remove excess vinyl, leaving only your design.
5. Apply Transfer Tape
Place transfer tape over your design and smooth it out.
6. Position & Apply
Center your design on the jar and press firmly, smoothing out bubbles.
7. Peel Transfer Tape
Slowly peel away the tape, leaving the vinyl in place.
8. Fill with Candy
Add your favorite treats like sour straws or gummies for a colorful finish.
