Question about saving your designs

Can anyone tell me if there is a way to save your work to your computer as well as LOKLiK Idea Studio MyZone on the software.

Hi Marion~Just to confirm, do you mean to download the projects saved in ideastudio to your computer?

Yes Elena. When I’ve made the design and want to save it. The save button lets me add it to my library on IdeaStudio, but not to anywhere like My Documents on the computer.

ideastudio does not support project or your design downloading to the computer, your design can only be saved by screenshots, but if you wanna download materials, you can download free pictures through the official website of loklik workshop

Maybe it’s something we’ll get with an update

I’ve only managed to save as PDF via print and cut

Might give it a try. it’s only because last time I updated my Idea Studio software I lost all my saved projects.

Printing to pdf should do the trick and software such as illustrator or inkscape (whick is free) can open editable pdfs

I’m new to the software, waiting for the phone press to ship; creating designs to print upon receipt but when I try to save I get an error message stating it can’t save file less than 5MB. There’s only an option to create what I beleive is a folder, but not to do anything else. I’m at a total lose here. Can someone give direction? Thanks in advance.

I think it can’t save a file that is more than 5mb

If your design weights more than 5mb you can split it into two. When you import them into cavas later on, they keep the position (this is so a few versions ago), so you’ll be able to merge both halves and work with the full project.

The 5MB limit is something many people have expressed dislike about, so it may change in a short to mid term future.

Although some improvements have been made on My Space development, there’ s still many features we the users are missing and keep asking about.

I hope we can see a major update soon, that’s been a bit quiet lately.

Oh and you can also save that large project printing as pdf and coverting it externaly into svg, so that you can import it into Idea Studio again whenever you need it. At least it is a possibility.

Why wouldn’t they allow me to save my created files to my computer? Instead, we use this so-called ZONE. Why do I get the feeling that my designs might get leeched off of the program in future? For AI or whatever.

Your designs in My Zone can only be accessed by others once you Publish it for public use with the sharing program feature. It will stay private to you as long as you don’t publish it.

But I do hope there will be a feature wherein we can save on local storage :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

What Timmy said and add to that that Idea Studio is a free applicatuon on development and while you don’t feel trust in My Space, you can use any other program, import your design just to Make it. Even when you’ll feel the trust. It’s only a voluntary to use feature
