Rhinestones Template

Hello. How do you make rhinestone templates with the cutting machine?
I’ve searched on YouTube and googled for the info but not getting much information about the Loklik machine.

I’m not sure if this can already be done in the Loklik program, some use SCAL (sure cuts a lot program) with their Loklik since it has that function.

I’ve been interested to know this because I wanted to use rhinestones and make my own designs however I just didn’t understand what Material for the template should be using.

I’ve made templates on my Scan n Cut, but not tried it on LOKLiK yet. There is a special sticky back flock that you use as a template. If you put ‘rhinestone flock material’ into a search it’ll bring it up for you. My only advice would be start small. The bigger they are the more difficult they. When putting down the transfer tape, the rhinestones seem to jump onto it.

I need a free software that can make small circle for the rhinestone template to fit. The loklik software doesn’t have that function. Can anyone help please.

As I’ve mentioned previously, Sure Cuts A Lot software has that function (rhinestone making) and it can be used with a lot of cutting machines including Loklik, the onyl problem would be is that it’s a paid program or you can try the cracked version on windows. I havent tried the silhouette app though.

Yes they are hot fix.
You will cut out your template using the flock sheet which has a sticky back… You then put this on a flat surface to apply the rhinestone into the holes. Once they are all in the right place, you use the transfer tape to lift them from there and apply to the garment you are fixing them on to. (That’s when they sometimes move). After that it’s just a matter of applying the heat to them.
It can be fiddly but the results can be great.

The “jumping” is due to static electricity and can be fixed by rubbing a Bounce dryer sheet (or other brand) or a very light application of anti-static spray on the transfer sheet before pressing.

While SCAL6 is a paid program you simply can’t find a better deal for a $47 one-time cost (~ price by some of the individual SCAL dealers). It will be years before LOKLiK’s software has even half of what SCAL has, given that SCAL has been in development for the past 16 or so years.

Can you show an example picture of what is being discussed here? I have something in mind but I want to know if it is the same as what is being discussed here.

This is so useful to know. By the way do you know the alternative we can use instead of flock as it seems to be very expensive around here x (uk)

I do hope Loklik has good developers for their softwares. I can see the progress though since I’ve been using Idea Studio since 2023. But they still have a long way to go
