Sublimated Glass Cutting Boards Time And Temp

Hi everyone I hope this helps other people ass well ass me lol. I need help with finding out what temp and time setting i do with glass cutting boards. This is the first time I’ve done glass cutting boards and don’t want to break the glass.

Also is it better to leave the mat on the tray or take it off? I am using the impress V1 auto press.

Make sure you have a sublimation glass cutting board. You normally sublimate on the back of the cutting board which the design then shows through the top of it. This means you don’t need to mirror your sublimation print. Clean your blank with a lint roller or microfiber cloth with rubbing alcohol. Make sure it dries completely. Tape your sublimation print on to your cutting board. Place butchers paper on top and on the bottom of the cutting board. Place in the heat press with the sublimation paper side up. My temp was 200c for 200 seconds. Using v1 heat press you may have to half the time and press twice. I can’t remember off the top of my head if v1 goes to 200 secs. Also this requires firm pressure so I would put a firm heat mat on top of the original heat mat to press. After you finish sublimating you could turn the board over to see if your design has come through and looks good. If it’s dull you could place it back and heat press again. Make sure you use your heat gloves as they will be hot. I would also refer to the time and temp your sublimation paper says to use as well. Hope this helps.
