Yesterday’s rain is gone! Today, it’s a bright, yet still chilly, morning — perfect weather for painting and planning. Today I’m working on a creative project that blends painted backgrounds with vinyl pressing using my H10 heat press.
I’ve got wood boards, canvas panels, and a stretched canvas all prepped and ready. The background in this photo is one of the pieces I’ve been painting — bold magenta and baby pink stripes that will soon be layered with HTV. I love how the textures and colors are coming together, and I’m excited to see how each surface responds to the press.
This kind of mixed-media work reminds me how energizing it is to combine techniques — painting, pressing, planning — all in one creative flow.

This background looks much better, now, after a few more coats. I can’t wait to share all the paintings I’ve been working on, yesterday and today. Been painting for 2 days straight, and still have more to do tomorrow.
