Talky Tuesday | That “Wait… Let Me Check One More Time” Step

Yes, always take that second or third or more look, and somehow it still ends up wrong. That usually happens when I’m in a hurry, I’ve learned to make myself slow down, take a breath and then take that one final look.

Chronicles” — Funny, Real, and Teachable
Let me tell y’all about the time I donated a $30 shirt to the “Oops Museum.”

I was in acrylic mode — no mirror needed. Switched to fabric. Forgot to mirror. Even predicted the mistake. Still pressed it. And Kevin’s birthday shirt came out looking like he was in a ninja mirror dimension :joy:

Lesson learned:
Mirror check is non-negotiable
Acrylic = no mirror
Fabric = always mirror
Predicting a mistake means nothing if you don’t pause and act

Now I double-check like it’s a ritual. Because every shirt deserves to be right-side up.

@Samantha_Bryant @BellethehowtoGuru I’m glad to know it’s not just me… lol… those sublimation shirts sure aren’t cheap… lol.

I mean, the shirt is still good. It’s perfect if you’re standing in front of a mirror. I’d still wear that shirt, while drinking out of @BellethehowtoGuru’s upside down printed mug, while standing in front of the mirror. :laughing::+1::heart: That’s how you mirror it after the press.

Hahaha ha, you crack me up. Thank you, I needed that laugh. OK back to filming this video. It may be the death of me.

Man. I always double check spelling and alignment and placement.

You’re right, it’s always when you think: “I can just get to this before I have to…” that things go wrong.:see_no_evil:

Coming from a sewing background, I automatically follow the rule of “ measure twice, cut once”. Now my obsession is - Is it straight? Is it centred? I probably spend as much time on that as everything else put together! :woozy_face:

Shoot, I could measure 45 times and still cut wrong. :joy:

I fixed it for you :rofl:

I used to hate the way Acrobat always printed it at scale.
Me: “It’s an A4 page, perfect set up, generous borders, etc. Exactly the way I want it.”
Acrobat: “Here’s something completely different to what you wanted!”

I can’t believe there hasn’t been enough complaints that they change the program.

I tend to measure twice, cut 28 times. I’ll almost always want to change something, even though there was nothing wrong to start with. :man_shrugging:

I think it’s because the change was good overall. Theres big complaints over on the Cricut side with design space at the moment. Reading the threads have been funny :rofl:

Ahhhh, yes! Spelling is another biggy for double checking! I made quite a few cute towels that said Chistmas Blessings! Gave them to family and friends :laughing:
