After updating, existing Pro users from the previous trial period will be switched to the Basic plan, while all basic features and access to 60,000+ images will remain available as usual.
Note:Full subscription officially launches May 19 (UTC), with 1M+ premium design assets going live in-app.
The app is showing version 3.0.0 and it reports it as being the latest version.
The app download page has 3.2.2 for windows and Mac, but 3.0.0 for Linux.
Any idea when V 3.2.2 for linux will be available?
I agree. I’m getting tired of many companies moving to subscription platforms. I miss the days when you bought the dang thing and that was good enough. I’m hoping this new update doesn’t cause me to lose things.
Hi @Lauriece_Logan-Breen. Everything that is free right now will stay free in the new version of IdeaStudio. You won’t lose access to your designs or any features you already use.
The subscription is only for new advanced features and new design content. AI tools are extremely expensive to run, and artists have to be paid for their work, so adding a subscription is the only way to keep improving the software instead of letting it stay limited.
If you’re happy with the current free features, nothing changes for you. But if you want access to the new tools, upgraded features, and expanded design library coming on May 19th, that’s what the subscription covers.
