To novices like me!

Indeed, I realize that:
Loklik pencils can only be used with the fine point end of the machine: this has never been specified anywhere!
Sublimation can only be used with a specific printer: inkjet printers: FORGET IT!
I bought it mainly to dress up some nice t-shirts, but I’m extremely disappointed! Not everyone wants to make such an investment, even if I have no doubts about the quality !
However, if you have any tips so that we can also benefit from them: We’d love to hear them!

It’s always best to do research and compare machines before buying right off then complaining afterwards if it doesn’t work for you.
We can only give advice if you can be more specific as to projects you want to achieve. Plus there’s always Google and Youtube to help along the way. Even ChatGPT and MetaAI can be a lot of help when you ask them 
There are sublimation pens you can use to draw with the Loklik machine, you just need to be more patient and experiment more. Expect wastage of materials…
If you’re delving on something new, you’ll need to do trial and error 1st. What works for others might not always be what you want to work for you

You could use sublimation HTV ( available for light and dark fabrics) and Infusible ink sheets (Available on Amazon) until you invest in an sublimation printer
Or just regular HTV in many fun colors
There are many helpful videos how to use both methods on YouTube even for beginners
As far as I’m aware there is inkjet printable HTV too.

Et cet achat a été longuement réfléchi mais nous ne maitrisons pas tout !
Excepté si vous êtes une experte ce que je ne suis pas.
Je trouve simplement dommage que la plupart des personnes ne précisent pas ce petit détail pourtant fondamental et laisse planer le fait que toute imprimante peut faire l’affaire !
Je persévère et ne doute pas que je vais finir par l’apprivoiser pour ne pas dire la maitriser !!

Hi there Sabine! Just to clarify, did you purchase the iCraft with the basic package (no extra materials)? If so, it makes sense that you’d feel disappointed when trying to “dress up some nice t-shirts,” as that version doesn’t include what’s needed for heat transfer projects.
The listing does show one pen included, the manual has the pen listed as use for “paper”.
If it were for fabric, it would say “fabric pen or sublimation pen.” This is actually common across brands. Also, just in case it helps “you can’t place a t-shirt directly on the iCraft cutting mat to draw on it.” Was that what you were hoping to do? or were you thinking it would draw on heat transfer paper to transfer to a tshirt?
If you bought the iCraft bundled with heat transfer materials (and had a heat press), you’d absolutely be able to make great t-shirts. Regarding sublimation: it’s true that it only works with special sublimation printers, not regular inkjets, and yes, you’d still need a heat press even with the right printer.
But all is not lost! If you do have the iCraft machine, you can still create t-shirts by purchasing heat-set vinyl materials from Loklik or HTVRont, plus a heat press. Another great option is buying DTF (Direct to Film) transfers from online sellers—these are fantastic for t-shirt designs, and again, they work with a heat press.
I completely understand the frustration when you’re just starting out and details aren’t clear to you. If you let us know exactly what came in your purchase, I (or others) can help you make the most of what you’ve got. And don’t worry about the pen, it’s just one part of what your iCraft can do! You’ve made a great start, and there’s still so much you can enjoy with your machine.

Loklik states clearly that the fine tip is for the machine and the brush tip is for colouring.
It’s a bit confussing here, though, but the info is there.

En fait, je n’ai acheté avec la machine que les supports de mines profitant de la réduction pour ne pas avoir à les acheter ultérieurement, le “scoring stylus” et une bande de transfert de grille que je n’ai pas encore utilisé !
J’ai en ma possession une mini presse à chaud qui me convient parfaitement pour ce que je fais (mini logo et de façon très occasionnelle) mini presse qui ne conviendra pas, je l’ai bien compris avec ce type de papier.
Finalement, j’ai opté pour le transfert papier pour imprimante jet d’encre.
J’en conviens que la finalité n’a rien à voir pour l’avoir déjà testé, mais cela tient relativement bien dans la durée.
Et qu’il faut parfois y mettre un certain prix pour avoir un résultat très satisfaisant !
Comme pour beaucoup de choses d’ailleurs !
Et là encore, une incohérence entre le fait de consommer moins mais mieux !
Alors qu’il faut un minimum d’investissement pour pouvoir faire un minimum de créations. (message marketing volontairement peu clair !)
Il en est de même pour les imprimantes “classiques” pour lesquelles ils se rattrapent sur le prix des cartouches et je trouve cela plutôt malhonnête mais cela reste mon point de vue.
Je pense qu’il en est de même pour les imprimantes de sublimation !
Pour en revenir aux transferts DTF, je suppose qu’il faille également une imprimante spécifique ! mais effectivement, ce serait un bon compromis par rapport aux impressions par sublimation !! Merci pour l’info !
Bien que mon imprimante soit récente, je doute une fois encore qu’elle soit compatible mais je vais regarder !
Nous apprenons tous les jours et espérons qu’ils vont encore progresser afin que nous soyons plus nombreux à en bénéficier ! (Je pense aux utilisateurs(trices) d’imprimantes à jet d’encre)
Au départ, je l’avais acheté pour utiliser différemment mes papiers scrapbooking et autres supports diverses et variés (cartons, boites d’emballages à reconditionner …) et offrir des créations originales avec du matériel de récup. Mais je ne désespère pas de faire de belles choses car seule notre imagination est notre limite !

@sabine_henry sublimation is an industrial printing technique that has become more accessible to home users, but it still comes with its limitations. At the end of the day, it’s a physicochemical process, and no matter how much we want it, it just can’t be done with a regular printer. Just like I can’t print a photo developed using the photochemical method with my home printer.
We have to accept that we can’t fully replicate industrial processes at home—each environment is different. In the past few years, lots of alternatives have appeared that bring handmade and industrial techniques closer together, but once you understand how things work in industrial settings, it’s clear that we still need a lot of progress to make that possible at home. And even when we can, the results aren’t always the same—it’s just logical.
Homemade methods often don’t have the same durability as something made by a company for sale, because they’re not meant to.
To put it simply: I could build a car at home, it’s going to be funny and even be a nice car to drive around my yard or as a gift to my father, but it won’t be a Volkswagen. And if I want to get close, I’m going to need serious tools and high-quality materials.

De toute façon ce n’est pas du tout à l’ordre du jour !
Et puis la perfection telle que nous l’entendons, nous ne l’atteindrons jamais !
Je m’en suis rendue compte coté pâtisserie ! J’adore faire divers gâteaux maison.
C’est frustrant au début et puis au final, nos créations n’ont ni colorant, ni additif et sont tout aussi bons voir meilleures pour la santé !
Le plus important : développer sa créativité, user d’ingéniosité et surtout prendre du plaisir à faire plaisir !!
Mais ce serait tellement chouette de faire un tas de choses avec 3 fois rien !
J’ai hâte qu’ils se performent notamment sur la matière “bois”, c’est tellement chaleureux et il y tellement de créations à réaliser !!

I am trying to bridge the knowledge gap for beginners. I know and have seen the frustration and overwhelm that people face after they purchase a new machine or product. It can be disheartening, and unfortunately I see alot of crafters just give up. I’m trying to help those people enjoy their new machine and get crafting again.
