Tumbler edges trick

Hello dear crafters though I explained this in one of my tutorial here in the community I’m pretty sure most of you didn’t find it, so I decided to share it specifically here at the daily mission coz this trick will save you if you are a beginner with sublimation on Tumblers.
The trick is to tape the edge on one side of your printed sheet all the way down just put the heat resistant tape exactly on the edge.

Then place this taped side down in your Tumbler and the other side upon it.

This way you will get the best results on your Tumbler avoiding 2 issues…

  1. A white /blank space line if the printed paper was slightly smaller.
  2. A darker line caused by the ink being double printed if the printed paper was slightly bigger.

Yesss! Thank you for bringing this gem front and center! :raised_hands: That edge-taping trick is a total lifesaver—especially for folks just dipping their toes into tumbler sublimation. It’s one of those small-but-mighty moves that makes a huge difference in getting crisp, clean transfers.

And I love that you circled back to share it here—sometimes the best tips get buried in tutorials, so this kind of spotlight moment is gold. :yellow_heart:

If anyone’s trying this for the first time, don’t sleep on that edge alignment—it really helps avoid ghosting and shifting during the press. Thanks again for sharing your wisdom!

@Marino, you might want to share this tip to include in my family of tape hacks.

You got it, girl! If you’ve seen my YouTube videos on sewing, you know I’ve dropped the word ‘seam’ about a million times—it’s practically a catchphrase by now! :joy::rofl: After watching, I bet it’ll be stitched into your memory!

That’s a great tip; it makes such a big difference to not have the thick ugly line you normally see everywhere.
