Hello everyone! My name is Eileen, and I’ve been a crafter for as long as I can remember. These days, I especially love creating handmade greeting cards and experimenting with sublimation and HTV projects. I actually started blogging about my crafting journey back in the early 2000s, and I’ve been sharing projects online ever since. More recently, I launched my YouTube channel, where I’ve been posting for about a year now, continuing to share my adventures and favorite techniques with fellow makers.
Unboxing the HTVRont Phone Case Heat Press
Welcome back to the craft room and today’s Unboxing the HTVRont Phone Case Heat Press post. I am super excited to share that HTVRont sent me their brand new Phone Case Heat Press to review! Today I’ll be unboxing the machine, showing you everything that comes in the box, and sharing my first impressions. Let’s jump right in, shall we?
Shipping & Packaging
The Phone Case Heat Press arrived wrapped in black shrink-wrap style packaging. When FedEx finally delivered my new press, the outer wrap was torn, so I unwrapped it right away to check for damage. As you can see in the photo below, one corner of the box didn’t fare well during shipping—it was smashed with the beginnings of a tear above it.
Thankfully, HTVRont packages their machines very securely. Even though the Styrofoam in that corner was dented, the press itself arrived completely undamaged. The sturdy packaging also kept all the included accessories safely in place during shipping.
Design & First Impressions
This press has a sleek, compact design that I really love. With a footprint of just 12" x 12.75" x 6.75", it easily fits on my desk while in use. The rounded corners give it a modern look, and the design feels clean and updated.
The Phone Case Heat Press comes in three colors—white, light blue, and light lavender—so you can coordinate with your craft room. While I didn’t get to choose my color, I was thrilled to receive the white version, which goes perfectly with my space.
One of my biggest questions before unboxing was about the actual heating space inside the press. The working area measures 8" wide by 4.75" deep, with a depth of about 0.75". That’s a generous size, making it great not just for phone cases but also for other sublimation projects you may want to try.
The control buttons are just as intuitive as other HTVRont products. On the left, you’ll find the power button, followed by the temperature button (marked with a thermometer) and the time button (with a clock icon). On the right side of the display are the plus and minus buttons for adjusting time and temperature, and finally the “Go” button with the HTVRont logo.
At around 12 pounds, the press is light enough to move easily from storage to your workspace. It even fits neatly into an IKEA Kallax cubby, which makes storing it between uses a breeze.
What’s Included in the Box
Now that everything is unpacked, let’s take a closer look at what comes with the HTVRont Phone Case Heat Press.
The only printed material in the box is a single information sheet. It lists safety precautions in English, French, and Spanish, and includes three handy QR codes:
- The first links to the HTVRont User Manuals webpage, where you’ll find manuals for all their machines.
- The second links directly to the App Store so you can download the Loklik Creativity Studio app.
- The third connects you to the HTVRont community on Discord.
Beyond the paperwork, HTVRont included a generous set of accessories. You’ll find:
- A pair of heat-resistant gloves. These are larger than the pair I already own, but they feel much thicker and sturdier.
- A roll of 3/8" heat-resistant tape.
- Fine point tweezers.
- Three sublimation-ready button-style pins.
- A sample pack of sublimation film.
Also included is an iPhone-compatible Phone Case Fixture set. According to the info sheet, this allows you to sublimate cases from the iPhone 12 all the way up to the iPhone 16 Pro Max. The set includes filler blocks and lens pads to help secure larger phone cases in place. If you’re an Android user, a fixture set is also available, so you can still create custom phone cases with this press.
The press isn’t limited to phone cases, though. The included base plate has etched guidelines to help with centering, and if you flip it over, you’ll see holes designed to fit the included button fixtures perfectly.
My Thoughts on the HTVRont Phone Case Heat Press
I am so excited to put this little machine to the test! If I had one wish, it would be for a more detailed instruction manual—especially for times and temperatures when sublimating different items. That said, it’s not a dealbreaker; it just means I’ll need to do a little extra research.
And just so you know, the kit I received didn’t come with any phone cases. HTVRont does offer different kits though—some include cases, and of course, you can always purchase them separately.
Overall, I love the compact size, thoughtful design, and the fact that it fits perfectly into my IKEA Kallax unit for easy storage.
Thank you so much for joining me for today’s Unboxing the HTVRont Phone Case Heat Press ! In my next post, I’ll walk you through my very first sublimated phone case using this press. Until then, happy crafting!
