Uploading free fonts

Greetings Community I recently downloaded some free fonts and would like to upload them to the design studio from my laptop. Can someone walk me through how to do this? Thanks for all your help and support!

Hey Tee_Cee

There isn’t anything special you need to do to get new fonts in IdeaStudio. Once the fonts are added to your computer they are automatically available in the software. All you have to do is click on the text icon on the left side of your screen, then on the right side, chick on Font and then you have the option to use the LOKLik fonts, or you can click the tab and use your system fonts. As long as the IdeaStudio isn’t open when you add the fonts they should all be there. If you did have the software open as the time, you just need to close it and open it up again.

Hope this helps!!

so the name of the font will not show? I just need to look for the font and add it? Thanks again for your response. I’m just a teacher trying to make my classroom cute lol

If you have added it to your computer it will be in there. After you hit the “System Font” tab it will show you a list of all the fonts you have including the name of the font and it will also show you what it will look like. Below is a screen shot with a few of the fonts that I have on my computer.

So if you remember the name you can search that way or if you just know the style you want you can scroll through all of them, which is what i do because font names mean nothing to me. lol

Watch out, because first time you intend to use system font in IS, there’s an alert box that ask you to accept EULA. If you click “Cancel”, you cwon´t access them and may not be able to use system fonts until you reinstall IS, the arlert box pops up and you agree.

Besisdes, you cannot add fonts to an Android device, I don´t know :green_apple: You’d be using system fonts but not uploaded free or payed fonts.

huh, I didn’t know that terms of use came up. Interesting. I have not tried adding fonts to my iPhone, but with the iFont app I add them all the time to my iPad, I only have IdeaStudio on my desktop computer though.

Oh, ok, so I guess you can add fonts to your system. Maybe there’s a way I don´t know to add them in Android.

I use IS mainly on my desktop, but I also have it on my Tab and movil. I can take the tablet with me to the crafting room, just to Make, and I like opening the app from my phone to see the featured post and so on. There’s als some features that only work in the app by nowk. I don´t use them, but it is good to know.

Woohoo! Glad to help! I get the majority of my fonts from Creative Fabrica. I
do have a paid account, but here’s a link to their free fonts.
You can also fall down one heck of a font rabbit hole at dafont as well.
