This is my Valentines day shirt. “All Booked For Valentines!” As you all know I have a love for all things spooky and mystical so of course it had to fit my vibe!.
Graphic design made by me using Clipart images from creativefabrica.com and then designed in Affinity V2 designer software.
15.1" x 15.1" size
Printed on my epson sc-f570 sublimation printer, with cosmo ink. (However I am still working on my ICC color profiles, this one i use the cosmo ink profle. Which i am not sure i like.)
Epson sub paper on a roll.
Press on a 100% cotton shirt from Walmart (george brand). Using subli+mate (The Elly Store.com) spray fabric until lightly saturated but not soaked. Press for 30 secs at 330 F. Then spray 2nd coat very lightly and press again.
Then press with you sublimation design. I press at 380 F for 60 sec. (tip if your designe is slightly bigger then your press use a regular laundry or mini iron to finish pressing the edges.)
With my designs and ink I have found it is better to peel warm that to allow to cool.
I also added photo of my creative space. It’s small but works purfectaly fine for me.
Once shirt has cooled I apply a light coat of Fade stopper (the elly store.com) and allow it to air dry.
I also use affinity designer now since the one I used before became a subscription app (Linearity curve) but that app was easier to use than Affinity. However, I bought the affinity bundle when they had the black friday sale. I still need to learn it more though. I have a hard time using it on mac, I prefer the Ipad version
I hear you on the learning curve. They have really good tutorials on their site as well as on you tube and with the new google AI you can also type your question out for affinity v2 and it has helpful information tips and tricks as well as links to tutorials. I chose affinity as it is the closest to adobe in layout an workings as well as the same reason as you it became a subscription service. But with affinity its a onetime lifetime purchase with free version upgrades. And the add-on packs for brushes and such are not ridiculously over priced and are a one time purchase. I do like the loklik craft design software as it is free as well as cricut but there are limits to the things you are able to do within them and as a designer i like the creative ablitiy to do and try new things that affinity offers.
Very pretty design. Yes, I’ve been trying to move over to affinity designer. It just sucks I’m so quick in photoshop and illustrator and I just don’t have time to spare these days unfortunately. But Adobe is just getting way to expensive these days.
