I think it makes it a bit more detailed then just gray scale I did my crappie with it. It was a small image but I was good with how it came out for the image I used.
Stucki is an algorithm that simulates shading with dots. Since the iEngrave doesn’t have actual shades of black and white, or other colors, stucki uses a dotting technique to create the gradient that makes an image appear as if it’s been shaded. This will produce a better quality image than the grayscale.
Gotcha! thank you so much for the explanation! I’m going to try that with this image on the clipboard. Will be interesting to see if there’s much of a difference with that and the test I did on a basswood round.
What software do you use if you don’t mind me asking? I am struggling with cutting out the designs and assumed you might be using a software that I am not. Thank you.
I have another question then, How did you cut out the design (Crappie) above? I can’t figure out how to create a design and then cut it out? Any videos or tutorials you recommend?
I can try to put something together this week. But it’s all about layers with the engraver. One layer for the image the next for the cut out part. I it’s the crappie one I did the fish as one since it was an uploaded image. Then I had the light bulb parts as mother so I could have it done in a line. But I don’t attach things u less it’s something I want to have the same thing done.
Engrave fill
Engrave line
Cut
Then choose those things when having them sent.
