I have recently updated the software - there are still bugs (which I have questioned on a couple of occasions).
What has happened to canvas size? It is now smaller than the 30 x 30 12 x 12. There is NO guide on the page canvas when designing. I wasn’t until I got to the ‘Make’ stage this was apparent.
The software keeps crashing and I’m unable to save, and I am having to a hard reset (have mentioned this – with a reply of ‘try using a new computer’). My computer is way above the spec needed to use this software.
The ‘help’ doesn’t work correctly, (have mentioned this before too), hence on this forum.

I do hope they can fix the red border line that wasn’t in the previous versions. It is very limiting in terms of cutting space making it wasteful with materials.
Though there have been adjustments already.

I think the red line is there to match the machine.
My software has never crashed. Do you remember what operations you performed that caused it to crash?

Today my cutter acted up and stopped receiving commands — I think it was because it was shut down improperly. I reinstalled the latest firmware update, and it started working again without any issues.

BTW the “try with another computer”… I think It’s not so much about the computer’s power (requirements), but rather any component, OS, or software that might be interfering. It’s possible to identify the issue and fix it, but in the meantime, if you have another computer available, it’s worth giving it a try.

I think it was placed there because of previous issues with the Loklik crafter cutting above the grid lines of the mat. But I hope they can solve that issue without compromising the materials.
Instead of being able to use the full 12x12, we need to adjust the dimensions of our designs
we cannot maximize the materials

Thank you for your input and comments they are much appreciated.
My laptop requirement is above and beyond what is needed to run the software and all up to date (a relative is computer engineer). I do not use the software on my tablet or phone, as its too small and difficult to navigate.
I design in various packages then and upload SVG’s to the canvas. (I find designing on the Loklik software very limited). I have to alter the SVG’s as they never upload to the correct size.
The ‘crashing’ (where is just closes down) or in most cases ‘freezing’ can happens at random times, but more often than not when I designed a canvas and go to save, or I have another programme open on my computer.
I have sent videos and images of my issues to the ‘team’ but got nowhere, I just had to wait for the update! But still have the same issues.
The red boarder line needs to be on the canvas page (like in the brother canvas page), then you can gauge design sizes better. The material wastage is quite a lot, fortunately I can use the ‘scraps’ with my other cutting machine as it scans, so I can do small designs - but that’s not useful for other customers, it remains wastage.
Also, and sorry to go on and on but………. When I raise issues with Loklik they cannot accept there are issues/bug/problems with their software and hardware, I don’t if that is cultural thing but reading, understanding and correcting issues instead of ignoring or giving not very helpful response is not at all supporting their customer base.

I design in illustrator and add a full A4 background for the only purpouse of maintaining coords and size. That “0,15mm” don´t affect the proccess, but it´s easy to correct the whole design to W 210mm
Also bring my reading marks, as I print in illustrator, but do nothing with them here, I use them only if sometimes I have to check something.
I totally understand what you feel, I´ve been there quite sometimes. We all, I guess. But not totally agree. I think there´s a long road until everything goes smooth. This kind of resources may take a while (go figure when a new game gets out, all the bugs needing a fix). But you´re right, Loklik software was born a bit of a nigthmare, and they should have that very present in mind and forget about any denial. I don´t think they always denny it, though, I guess there´s a bit of bipolaity here lol.
The software is never going to be a professional design software (will it?) but step by step is reaching basic standards that can keep improving. That´s one reason we´re here and they better appreciate it and sometimes do harder xddd
