What Material Surprised You Most?

I’m curious as to what unexpected results did you get from using HTV (or anything else) material successfully e.g., wood, canvas, leather, pvc

I had a tote bag I embellished for a recent event. I created a design using images from the LOKLiK library and sent it to my iCraft machine.

I started with HTV, cut it, weeded it, and… it just wouldn’t stick to the bag! :weary: Total fail.

But I wasn’t giving up that easily. I swapped the HTV for some adhesive vinyl, cut again, and boom! it stuck beautifully and held up great.

Moral of the story: if at first you don’t succeed… try adhesive vinyl :smile:Oh and test, I didn’t cut the full design, i just cut the HTV text first to see if it would stick

Even with heat pressing the HTV still didn’t stick?

Some htvs are cool peel and when you try to peel them right off when they’re still hot they won’t stick.
But definitely not gonna use vinyl on fabric only if you need to do something for a short time coz it won’t last.

correct, but it made no diference, it was the type of vinyl that rejected the glue :grinning:

My first HTV experience? A tragic tale. It refused to cut like it was on a coffee break. But adhesive vinyl? That stuff sliced through like a ninja in flip-flops. Now I’m side-eyeing this HTV again… is it the material, or am I being personally victimized by my cutting machine?
